"Great Plains Zoo is a great place for kids and adults. Recommend going earlier in the day so temperatures are lower and animals are out and about."
"After visiting the zoo and guest shop...we headed to the second best place to be on a hot summer day and we were not disappointed! For $2 you can feel the winds of Africa, and surprisingly us adults were thrilled with it. We have traveled alot and never saw an egg collection like this! Ostrich, Emu, filmingo etc. So neat!"
"Always fun to go to the zoo. Yes it's cold outside but several animals love the winter. You can still see most of the animals in the winter viewing area's, just ask a zoo keeper."
"Eh .. Price of admission seems a bit high for what is offered. Somehow $2.50 for a 37¢ bottle of water is a bit extreme. Many animals were not in their designated areas, or being kept inside so that's a bit disappointing too. Train ride is extra, prices in the gift shop are jaw dropping and food such as a hot dog for $9.99 makes it unreasonable for a family outing for the day unless you bring your own."
