"Review of the Cross Country Trail Pass: flat as a pancake. I asked twice if it has ups and downs or if it was flat. They tried to sell it as some incline. No. Did the whole entire trail and it’s pretty flat except for one small portion. If you’ve ever been on a pair of skis, walk over and just aim at the forest. You’ll have more adrenaline and stay in a straight line better as the snowmobile plowed trail here has odd groves all over it. This makes your skis slide. Ah if you have kids, come here! Great spot to teach them, I suppose."
"Great place it has it all. Clean and very affordable. We stayed at the hotel but they have cabins and campsites. The beach is one of four all great and a paved bike/walking path. They have a general store, coffee shop, ice cream shop, and a bike/ski snow shoe shop. You will enjoy yourself. The room was around $105. On the beach there is a bar restaurant all walkable and great. Enjoy"
"Visited just before the holidays for some introductory snowshoeing. The staff was extremely helpful in explaining the equipment needed and getting our group setup with boots and snowshoes. The trails were well laid out and groomed. This is a perfect place for introductory winter sports. Would most definitely visit again"
"REVIEW OF BIKE RENTAL. We rented bikes here on the way back from seeing Eagle Falls. The bikes were fine, except I guess I'm not sure about the gears. I tried not to touch mine out of fear, maybe I could have done better... It is near the bike trail and you can explore Pope Beach and the Tallac Historic site and more. It's a nice area to bike because it's so flat. The staff was friendly. This was a spur of the moment thing. They gave us a parking pass while we were biking for an hour and there were signs that said only 30 min. parking, but it was OK. Later, I saw just down the road was a place called Andersons Bicycle rental and they were cheaper ($10 vs $12 per hour and they have tandems too for $18), so I probably should have gone there. Also, in S. Lake Tahoe town I saw a place that said $6 per hour! I think it was on Lake Tahoe Blvd. near the Stardust Lodge, so if you want to ride bikes in town, that's prob. the best rate."
