"Great experience with Diver Dan and the jet boat! We heard about this company through a good write up in our Maui travel book and they did not disappoint. We called on a Tuesday to see if they had any last-minute cancellations for a whale watching tour for our family of 4. They didn't, but the lady at the office said she would see what she could do and call us back. She called later on to say we might be able to go the next day if they could book another family. We got a confirmation text early the next morning, gave a card over the phone, and were on the water by 9:30am - less than 24 hours after we first called! Diver Dan was a great guide, very informative, and really made it a fun adventure for our family. He modified the normal jet boat ride so we could whale-watch as well - it was the best of both worlds! We are already planning to use them for a snorkeling trip when we are in Maui again. Highly recommended!"

"We went out on a private charter with Captain Dan and his trusty sidekick, Willow. They were excellent! If I could give them six stars, I would. Willow was a plethora of information and provided service with a smile. Both Captain Dan and Willow ensured we were all safe and comfortable for the entire ride. We were hoping to see some marine life on our excursion, and we did not see dolphins until the very end of our trip, so Captain Dan stayed out for an extra half an hour so we could enjoy watching the spinner dolphins. It was very kind of him! Would 10/10 recommend Kaanapali Ocean Adventures for any and all boating needs while on Maui. Thanks again Willow & Captain Dan!"

"My family took the half-day snorkeling tour to Lanai and had a fantastic time! It was a bit windy on the day of our tour so the crew took us to the back side of Lanai for a better snorkeling experience. We went to two different locations, and saw different types of fish. Shark fin rock was incredible! Captain Dan runs a tight, safe ship and Willow is amazing. Not only does she work hard to keep everyone safe, she is a “hostess with the mostest” and makes sure that everyone has a good time and gets the most out of their trip. She is also very knowledgeable about the islands and the local wildlife, and she is happy to share. Communication leading up to the trip was great - thank you for the reminder to take Dramamine! We’ve done snorkeling trips with larger groups (100+), but we loved the smaller tour group and will look for that going forward. It was great to have more interaction with the crew (they love what they do and are happy to share their knowledge of the area), and it’s nice to have less people in the water at the same time."

"Patience pays. That's the summary of the whale watching trip. We were able to spot a lot of whales during our trip. The crew seems very knowledgeable and very friendly. It was a great trip overall."
