"Nice community park located near the University. Vagrants using the facilities takes getting used to."
"Took the bus 17 minutes to get here and it wasn’t worth it unfortunately. Play structure is majority metal- meaning in the sun it gets HOT. Also in a quiet area, so mid day Mon through Fri your kid will probably be playing alone."
"Great sense of community at the park! While my grandson is very young the older kids and their families were very kind. We watched as people swam, played tennis, practiced football and soccer, and others just enjoyed being together outside!"
"The park was redone recently and is in good shape! The basketball courts and tennis courts are free and really nice and we'll used. The lights are perfect and there is a large grassy Park/field there too. Sometimes there are skateboarding people in the park that can a bit overwhelming but it has been minor when I was there. Shockingly parking is easy and I've always found a spot. Park is well used and appreciated by the community."
"Close to University of Hawai'i Mānoa, be careful driving in and out of this park's parking lot. Stalls are angled, and it is a one-way circular driveway. You are exiting on a curved down slope on Dole Street, so cars will be rushing at you and it is difficult to see since there is a lot of on-street parking. Forget about turning left out of this driveway. You will be waiting a while. There are sidewalks on both sides, and a lot of foot traffic from students and skateboarders. Minimal handicapped parking. Not a lot of parking in general, actually. Maybe 20 stalls? Bathroom stalls are typical for public parks. Low on toilet paper, no soap. Bring your own antibacterial spray and or hand wipes. Other than that, this is a relatively nice park if you live in the area and don't mind walking to it. Hard tennis courts are a nice feature. Relatively safe, probably due to the proximity of University of Hawai'i Mānoa faculty housing and the university in general. Lot of Faculty families and their kids, some students. Easy-going vibe. Cute play yard for kids. No slide but modern and has safety mats below. 2 swings and metal monkey bars in separate area next to center."
