"Pretty cool hawaii designates this as the only bodysurifng area on the island. Nice walkway/jogging path along the waterfront, and to walk dogs, or site and relax to watch the boats go in and out and surfers at Kakaako Park. Nice views of diamond head and alamoana also."
"This is a "jump-off" point for surfers, scuba divers and yes, even body surfers. Many of these shots were taken at Point Panic, known for the need for deftfully, pulling out of a wave, before crashing with the wave into a volcano lava rock-solid seawall. Here scuba divers lower themselves into a quiet sea, with 1 1/2 hour air tanks, serious underwater cameras to photograph the ocean floor corals, small colorful fish, along with sting rays and sharks such as Hammerheads and Tiger Sharks. Blend into their company and "swim alongside them," they say. And, "You won't be bothered." All this, based upon 20 years of serious diving experience. They dove into the calm sea as the sun came up over Diamond Head in the distance."
"The best spot in town to watch sunset in my opinion. Less crowded than other spots and parking is easy. Never disappoints for sunset! And if your lucky, in the winter you just might see a humpback whale if you have a keen eye"
"Gorgeous, underrated spot for taking in the unobstructed ocean views, view of Diamond Head, fresh air, and watching surfers and boats coming and going. There’s a lot of space so even when it’s busy, it’s not crowded. You’ll catch musicians, dancers, etc. practicing or playing here. It’s a great place to hang out. It’s also good entertainment. Just as a safety thing, if you’re a mama with kids or female…always make sure there are other people around and that you’re not just out here walking solo. You never know these days. Also a note for photographers with all the valuable equipment—same thing. Be careful. I wouldn’t want to be out here alone with any of my camera gear, unfortunately. There’s also a staircase leading down to the ocean for people to go for a swim or snorkeling. It’s located west of the eastern most parking lot. Looked like good fun."
"This is a nice place to get away and chill. It can get kinda busy at times with runners and folks coming around to take photos but there plenty of space to hangout and just take it all in. There are some cool stairs to climb down into the water. All around, this is a great place to enjoy some views."
