"Place is great , centrally located to the lagoon and shoreline . It's got a restaurant on site a great bar and a very nice pool area. Rooms are clean and tidy . Only down side I experienced was the every 4th day cleaning but I get it and it's not a deal breaker."

"Very nice, clean, and well maintained hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Did not have a ramp for the stroller, just a lift for a wheelchair. Hotel is next to the beautiful lagoon with lots of entertainment for kids. Pools are nice and clean. Onsite pool bar serves really decent food and drinks."

"We had an amazing stay with the Modern. Everything from the get go was superb. Hotel’s location is incredible, short walking distance to Honolulu’s hottest spots and super close to the beach. The staff was friendly, especially John! He is the nicest guy ever! Super friendly and helpful :) Overall I really recommend staying at this hotel plus they have good food at the Grove restaurant ;)"

"We recently stayed at the modern Hilton for a week, expecting a high level of service and cleanliness for the price of $2,600. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. Contrary to the well-lit images on the website, the reality was disappointing—mold along the walls, an aging bed, and a persistent musty smell in the room. On the positive side, the location offered a pleasant view and convenient proximity to the beach and city attractions. One notable inconvenience was the need to present a voucher daily for complimentary water. It would have been more convenient and thoughtful if the hotel staff had placed the water bottles outside the room or offered a morning knock for those interested. While the front desk staff was polite, their lack of initiative and information about local transportation options was evident. This was surprising, especially considering my background in the hospitality industry, where going the extra mile is a standard practice. The most significant disappointment occurred when I discovered my pajamas missing from the room. Despite reporting the issue to the front desk, they seemed indifferent and failed to take any corrective action or offer compensation. In the hospitality industry, such oversights should be addressed promptly and with a genuine concern for guest satisfaction. In hindsight, spending an additional $600 for a stay at the Prince Waikiki down the street, which reportedly provides superior service, would have been a more worthwhile investment. For those deliberating on accommodations, I highly recommend considering the Prince Waikiki over the Hilton based on my less-than-satisfactory experience."

"Apart from the hard, low beds and the minimal furniture in the rooms, everything else was awesome! The washroom is huge and well laid out - loved having the little clothes line in the shower to hang up the swimsuits. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful with anything we asked for. LOVED the refill stations with cold delicious water - saves on having to buy water bottles. Bring an insulated cup and you're golden. The pool area is nice and relaxing, when there aren't a bunch of screaming kids (seemed to be just on the weekend) and the covered area next to the pool is also quite comfortable. Nice location- walking distance to a lot of amenities and most excursions will pick up pretty close to the hotel. The pool bar is great and the daily happy hour food and drinks were delicious. The lobby area/business lounge is roomy and comfortable and if you have a late night departing flight, the hotel will store your bags for you. Overall though, it was a great place to stay."
