"Dr. Bell is a contemporary local physician with cutting-edge knowledge that distinguishes her from others in Hawaii. She has empowered me through invaluable information, psychoeducation, and appropriate treatments that have entirely changed my outlook on neuropsychiatric and developmental disorders and treatments thereof. Being under the care of Dr. Bell has expanded my overall awareness of underlying issues, such as sleep disorders as a major feature of neuropsychological conditions which contribute to a pattern of cognitive impairments. Previous psychiatrists have not even thought to delve this deep into my overall health, let alone my sleep/airway! The most important factor for growth and brain health!! Can you believe it?! In my experience, many doctors often view patients through a single scope whereas Dr. Bell takes into account the entirety of the person. In the past, my concerns were often dismissed by prescription-eager doctors who wanted me out the door quickly. But Dr. Bell is attentive, compassionate, personable, and incredibly thorough. Without her, I would have never realized the seriousness of my overlooked/untreated sleep issue and the complex interconnection between sleep and mental health. While I wish my parents had known this and had me treated earlier as a child (as it could have potentially changed the entire trajectory of my life even sooner), I am still ever so grateful for her care as an adult. I now feel empowered, like I have all the tools and answers I needed. I seriously hope she will continue to stay in practice so that I can bring my future children to her care."

"If I could give negative stars I would. I went to see Dr. Bell for a severe eating disorder a few years back. She gave me the wrong diagnosis, disregarded what information I gave her and did not address the most urgent problem at the time, my physical health. During the few months that I was seeing her I became progressively worse. I felt like I had to prove that I was sick enough to deserve the proper treatment I needed. After leaving her “treatment” I was admitted to the hospital for a heart rate that was in 30bpm. I’ve received proper treatment since then and I am happy and well now. I absolutely cannot and do not want to imagine where I would be if I had continued with her. If you are seeking help/treatment for mental health related issues, especially eating disorders, please do NOT see Cathy Bell."
