"I've been seeing Dr. Lim for about 4 months and its always a pleasant experience considering I have cancer. He does talk very fast (probably because the office is always slammed!) and sometimes you have to interrupt him to ask questions. But, he always answers clearly, so I understand. He is quite blunt and tells it like it is; which might be shocking to some people, especially in Hilo, since that's not normally how people do things around here. But I've had doctors sugar coat things and I didn't take the proper actions because I thought I'd be okay. Now I'm dealing with cancer. (I didn't even realize that was a risk for me because no one ever explained.) Despite his blunt way of being, I'm certain he has his patients best interest at heart. I have a rare case of cancer- instead of just pumping me full of chemicals, he referred me to a specialist to make sure I get the proper care - This takes paperwork and extra coordination. I know lots of doctors that would've gone the easy route and just taken their best guess to avoid the extra work. And, I know others that don't like to admit they don't have all the answers. I can deal with blunt, as long as I know I'm really being cared for. And I know Dr. Lim cares."

"He is the worst Doctor ever and I mean ever. He is polite and rude. When my Aunty was taking chemotherapy and radiation for cancer he said to her "If I was you I would go home and work on your will cause your going to die anyway". After that we went to Honolulu and did the chemotherapy and radiation at queens hospital and my Aunty was fine after that."
