White Sands Hotel

"This place looks cute from photos online but the rooms were not what I was expecting. The hotel does not have an elevator. The walls are very thin I barely got any good sleep and was constantly awaken from other guests coming in late at night (2 - 4 am). I would not recommend leaving personal items with the front desk staff. This review is for the hotel services only, the speakeasy and swim bar had 10/10 service."

"I love staying at vintage hotels and this was one of my favorites so far. The pool is amazing and makes the whole stay. I loved the lounge chairs. Loved the location (and easy walk to the beach). And the price was really unbeatable in Waikiki for what you get."

"Just returned from a wonderful 16 day stay at Waikiki's hidden gem. It is truly a throwback to a warm cozy Hawaiian hotel that has its charm of Hawaii. The rooms were immaculate, bed comfortable, pool was a pleasure. The staff at this hotel was exceptional. Sadie the Bartender was a wonderful delight, a smile and conversation always. All in all everyone at the White Sands made you feel at home, was attentive and very accommodating. "The Hey Day food was delicious and very convenient after a day at the beach. CON: The only drawbacks were no elevator, which was hard for seniors, especially on third floor; No in room coffee pot. (You could purchase a cup of coffee at front desk but that gets expensive if your 2-3 cup morning coffee drinker). The rooms did have a small hot water tea pot but no tea or instant coffee. A small Keuriq would have been good. Last con, the toiletries could be updated (instead of little squeeze bottles and tiny bars of soaps, install the dispensers in the showers. With just some updates as these, I would give it 10 stars. All in all, the location was very convenient to dining, shopping and the beach. If anything was needed, it was right there. White Sands Hotel is truly a hidden gem of Waikiki. My husband and I plan to come back again in 2025. Thank you White Sands for a beautiful stay in paradise."

"My husband and I stayed at White Sands Hotel for our elopement and had an excellent experience! The staff was very thoughtful and upgraded our room. The hotel location is prime with easy walking access to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We were additionally able to quickly access other incredible sites such as the Koko Head trail, Eternity Beach, and others with a quick 20 - 30 minute drive. Additionally, the hotel has several thoughtful features such as a pool, routine live music, complimentary games, beach chairs and towels, and on-site food/beverages. We would highly recommend White Sands Hotel!"

"Great place to stay in Waikiki on a budget but still want to have a great location. Room cleaning happens every other day which we actually liked in order not to wash towels all the time (eco footprint). The rooms are a little run down / older. The fan in the bathroom is extremely loud. We liked the fact that you have a sink with tea cooker and fridge as well as a balcony. Best thing about the hotel room is the bed. Extremely big and very comfortable, we slept like babies. Great location as you have hundreds of food options around the hotel. Hotel bar and pool area are very nice and staff is super friendly. We would come back as price value is very good."
