"Dr.Nita is amazing! He is heaven sent, he recently saved my life!! I had very bad pre-eclampsia which resulted in congestive heart failure, which Hilo Hospital misdiagnosed as pneumonia days before seeing Dr. Nita. Upon seeing Dr. Nita for my routine visit, he informed me of my pre-eclampsia & scheduled an emergency c-section. 3 Days after giving birth and being monitored, we were release from labor and delivery.. hours after getting home I could not breathe and was rushed to Hilo Hospital ER via ambulance where Dr.Nita was called in and he coached the nurses on how to help me and what medicines to give me. I was admitted to ICU & Dr.Nita checked on me every morning & every evening. Not even my PCP does that!! Dr. Nita cares whole-heartedly!! If it were not for Dr.Nita I don’t think I would be alive today. He has been my gyno for 19 years & I am truly grateful to him!!!"

"Dr nitta delivered my first child. Worst experience of my life! Induced labor. after 6 hrs nurse called him to let him know I was ready.he showed up at the hospital irritable and rude like he didn’t want to be there, he was super cold and rough . performed an unnecessary incision before I even tried or began to push my child out. he took a scissors and decided it was ok to cut me from my behind to my front with no warning or explanation as to why .leaving me with a condition that has ruined my life. Rectal vaginal fistula . The day after being released i told him something was wrong he brushed me off like I was crazy pushed me on to another dr that tried to fix it twice and was unable to . actually leaving it worst. When i asked him if he could help me find someone to fix it and help me because I was suffering he got upset told me to take my medical records and don’t come back I hope no one has to suffer like this 17 yrs later and I’m still suffering because what he did to me the trauma. quality of life this dr has left me with I hope never happens to anyone else. Why he treats some patients better than others is beyond me . Please be cautious !"

"Seems to think it’s his way or the high way. Loves to yell at you for any little thing. I have never seen such an arrogant Doctor. Loves to smoke cigarettes with his employees , and some workers are nice, and some are so sassy. I heard about him , but I didn’t believe it. Until my third visit. I thought I was in the twilight zone. I walked out of his office feeling verbally abused , and I had an anxiety attack. Never went back and I never will."

"Where do I start... Not gonna go into major detail but worst OBGYN doctor ever. I am left speechless at the inappropriate things he has said about me and my baby while getting an ultrasound done. Office smells like cigarettes, nursing/staff are all young girls. And I say this because they have no hospitality. felt uncomfortable the entire appointment. didnt even introduce himself when he walked in the room. then proceeds to make fun of me because I can't get up off the bench...Because no one in the room bothered to assist a 35 week old pregnant lady. i get up eventually and leave. worst experience with a doctor EVER! i felt so violated and humiliated. he is not a "keep it real" doctor either as some may say that's why they like him. bottom line, if you can avoid his practice please DO."

"Dr. Nitta has been my doctor since i was 16 or 18 years old. He cares so much for his patients and has always been willing to help me with any health related issues i have in my life. He truly cares and i appreciate his compassion whenever i go in to be seen by him. His staff is wonderful and have always had an open arm welcome through the whole visit.
