"There are two doctors practicing at this clinic which is Healing Tides primary care. I will be reviewing my PCP Dr. Shauna Raboteau. I first established care with Dr. Raboteau six months ago and at that time she was a kind, attentive doctor with a gentle bedside manner. However, about two months ago, as this practice got busier, and as Dr. Raboteau focused more on her new patients, her once attentive care of me began to decline. I have been struggling with a serious, distressing, and painful chronic medical condition, which required me to see Dr. Raboteau for several office visits, as well as required me to go to the ER two times. Dr. Raboteau’s patient care of me declined so much that she failed to order an important diagnostic test for my abdominal pain which would have detected sooner, rather than later, that my abdominal pain was due to a growing problem in one of my important internal organs. Due to Dr. Raboteau not ordering an abdominal ultrasound for me, there was a delay in my diagnosis and treatment. For this important reason, I would not recommend Dr. Shauna Raboteau as a doctor."

"Dr. Shauna Raboteau is the best doctor I have ever met. My typical experience with doctors is that they want patients in and out within 15 minutes. They don't allow much or any time for questions and maintain a rather stoic distance. Their "How are you?" is more routine than caring, before jumping into their checklist. Visits feel really rushed, robotic and impersonal, and so it's usually a dreaded experience. While I do not expect doctors to be my friends and understand their busy schedules, once you experience stellar service and care, it makes all the difference. Prior to Healing Tides, I chose my PCP based on location and convenience - however, meeting Dr. Raboteau based on a friend's recommendation, I understood how a great healthcare provider can shift your paradigm towards doctors for the best. Dr. Raboteau is professional, caring and kind. The moment you step into the office, you enter a safe space of warmth and peace. When we first met, I could tell that she cares greatly for others. This has remained consistent in all subsequent check ups with her. She allows me to ask questions and clearly explains her answers in laymen's terms. When I went through some distressing health issues, I was overwhelmed by her compassion and care. Generous with her time, she empathized with me, gave practical next steps and scheduled all the appropriate check ups immediately. Thanks to her, I was able to catch a significant health issue that may have otherwise gone undetected, and receive timely and proper care. Dr. Raboteau's peaceful demeanor is calming to be around. I am grateful that she eases the stress that is often synonymous with a doctor's appointment. As one who dreads healthcare check ups, I was surprised to actually feel relaxed before, during and after every visit to Healing Tides. Dr. Raboteau balances hard and soft skills in a refreshing way, showing me what exemplary care could - and should - look like.
