"This is quite likely the greatest hostile I've ever stayed in and I've traveled the world. They have the greatest staff, events, and communal gatherings over food drinks and just funny and fun inquisitive people from all over the world. There's so many connections to make so come, meet, not only their staff, but those who come to stay here as you're going to create memories."
"Do not stay here. A staff member let a lazy guest keep bottles of urine under his bed in exchange for marijuana! The place is disgusting! Mold in the kitchen. The owner is an arrogant neanderthal and completely unapproachable. Countless guests never received their deposit back. Uncomfortable beds. The neighborhood is a nightmare many guests have been assaulted around this area. The place is dirty and not worth the price. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE EVEN IF YOUR DESPERATE!!!"
"AVOID this place & go somewhere else. I booked one night through their website for the 13th of December, 2014. That night the heat in the room was unbelievable and kept getting hotter, I was suffocating. I got up to go complain, another guy in the room told me he has done so and the manager was very rude to him (a tall Russian guy with glasses is the Manager), I went to talk to him and he was rude to me also. I spent the next night at another hotel & was told by Sin City that they have rooms for the next day, when I came to book a room, the Manager confronted me about what happened that night and said to me: You wrote a bad review about us. We don't have any rooms, we are all booked. I spent the next 2 nights at another Hostel. On 12/17/14 I called Sin City Hostel at 4:10 pm. I spoke with Alex who works there, he of course does not know my voice. He told me they have lots of rooms for tonight. I asked if I should make reservation on the phone to make sure I have a room (Since I can't book online the same day, it has to be at least a day before), He said: No, just be here before 11 pm. I told him I will be there in few minutes. He said: You will be fine. I arrived there at 4:25 pm. I pulled in the parking lot on my motorcycle, he and the manager were sitting outside. They both know my motorcycle. Alex went into the office and asked how he can help me? I told him I had called few minutes ago & he had told me he had lots of empty rooms. He tells me: Oh, I am sorry all the rooms were booked in the last few minutes. I told him that I asked him to keep a room for me, he said you should have given me your credit card and asked about phone reservation. I replied that I DID ask him if I needed to reserve a room and he said no there are lots of available rooms. He told me that they give priority to online bookings & that all the room were taken online just few minutes ago. I said that Can not actually book a room the same day online, that it has to be done the day before. So if these rooms were booked the day before then he would have known about them when I called him, it does not take an entire day for the online bookings to come through (the confirmation is done immediately when the room is booked, it does not take an entire day for the booking to show up). That when I called he told me there were many rooms available, that there was no need to make a reservation. I am SURE his manager when he saw me pull in on my motorcycle told him: Tell him all the rooms are booked. These people are crocks and dishonest. They are bunch of LIARS. I had to go to another hostel and pay $5 more for a room. Alex and his manager wasted my time and gas money driving to their hostel so they can lie to me about their rooms being full. All of this because the Manager did not like the review that he thinks I wrote about him and his hostel. These people are dishonest and don't deserve to be in business. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, there are LOTS of Hostels in Vegas owned by much Nicer people than these Crocks."
"The location is very good. Transportation is very easy. The staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast is super. If I go to Las Vegas again, I will definitely stay at Sin City Hostel again."
"I traveled over 1800 miles to this place only to be turned away at check in because the receptionist accused me of being a local. I showed him my Wisconsin ID and my boarding pass from my flight that morning but he insisted that if i were from out of state i would have brought more luggage. I always travel light and there is nothing i would need that i couldnt get in a 10 minute walk so i only brought 1 bag. Plus my reservation was only 2 nights. I had to cancel my whole vacation and spend over 150$ to get a new plane ticket home that night. I had also purchased a weekend pass to twitchcon and was only able to attend 1 day because of them. Last year I stayed at Bungalow hostel next door and they were infinitely more professional. I think the clerk was just being lazy and was annoyed that I had misplaced my ID when I first showed up and had to spend time looking through my things before I could present it. Very disappointing. I decided to attach my receipt for my flight transfer to this review as more evidence I am not a Las Vegas resident. After already showing them my ID and boarding pass I wouldn't be surprised if they still insist I'm from Las Vegas."
