"The shower was not clean- there was still hair from the previous guest in the shower (and not from their head). The rooms smell very musty. And when sunlight comes in the room, the sheer amount of dust you are able to see in the air is shocking. The toilet flush is so powerful that is visibly sprays water out and up in the air. It is nearly impossible to flush the toilet without getting splashed. There is no coffee maker in the room. You can see where there used to be a mini fridge but it is no longer there. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were not attached to the wall like they’re supposed to be, but instead were just laying on the bathroom floor when I checked in. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and I did like the keyless entry. If I were to describe this hotel in one word it would be “scuzzy”"
"It was good! Rooms are decent. I mean it's an older hotel so what would you expect. Overall, it was a fun place to stay. They got lots of shows and things to do in the lobby. The front desk service are wonderful. Love the slanted elevator way up experience, that was something classic and cool. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the fun fact note inside elevators. However, if your room is higher floor, the inclinators if you look down to the lobby is not for people who are afraid of heights. How anyone has not fallen is beyond me."
"This casino has gone downhill and deserves 0 stars I was just being nice. Every visit there is a problem . It’s either a 5 hour water shut off or the front desk is over charging you excessively for fees that’s you’ve already paid for . Some rooms have mildew smell in the showers and once there were no knobs Attached to the shower or sink when I checked in . If you have players card your not supposed to pay resort fees and they still charge you if you don’t catch it. The casino restrooms aren’t safe there are always men found inside the women’s restrooms or drug addicts in the stalls using drugs . Security staff are all slow Af and walk around doing absolutely nothing but picking fights with customers . I’ve even overheard a customer say he couldn’t take a shower for 3 days due to water shutoff and they wouldn’t switch his room. The elevators and elevator buttons are always broken and sometimes u have to take the stairs from your room to the casino . The front desk staff all need re-training except for about 2 people . They will lie to you over & over and then try to give you food comps just to get you to walk away so they don’t have to deal with your problems . The buffet is disgusting and almost always closed. The housekeepers are just ridiculous if you don’t let them clean after one day visiting they will send security to do welfare checks just so they have access to your rooms. They ignore the do no disturb signs and try to enter at 10am and sometimes 3pm when you least expect it. The casino is full of homeless people begging and watching you win so they can beg you for money while you gamble or they try to sell you jewelry. There is no heat in your rooms during winter weather of 30-40 degrees. Your constantly calling for maintenance. There are no blankets on the beds no microwaves or fridges in your rooms. I can see now why they are on the top 5 worse places To stay while in Las Vegas ."
"Review may be updated later. We reserved and booked a king size premier room a month in advance. We arrived and they told us they had no King rooms available. Even though we booked a king premier room. They said no rooms are guaranteed, they will change rooms no matter what, however they want. Remember that when you book at Luxor, booking a certain room will not get you the room you booked. They change things at whim. Edit: After waiting and standing firm, we got a king room. And understandably, view is of backside of nothing, and low down. Definitely not booking at Luxor again. Same night we arrived, they had king rooms available to book, even though there are "no" King rooms available when getting to the front desk. Their front desk person said all hotels everywhere are like that. Have stayed in many hotels, and never had this happen. Must be very lucky at every other hotel I have ever stayed at."
"Luxor feels outdated compared to many of the other MGM hotel and casinos but there rooms do fair a bit better. The spa tub unfortunately did not have any jets and the view inside is a bit obscured due to the glass overlay. The heating unit is old and outdated as well as the TV setup that still uses a antenna making the resolution impossible to be comfortable with. The second room also feels empty with not enough decor, furniture, cabinets, closets, or appliances. The furniture arrangement is terrible and out of place for it to be usable. Any other configuration would have made it better than it's current. Overall not the best but usable."
