"Our stay at the Blue Jay Lodge far exceeded our expectations. Having stayed in south lake at both hilton grand vacations and Harvey’s (where you wait 20 mins in line to check-in), we decided to try something new. The virtual check-in process and communication was seamless. We received our keypad code via email and were able to drive up to our room and get in within seconds, skipping the need to haul bags throughout a hotel. The communication for an early check-in was also superb. The rooms clearly have recently been renovated and the cleaning staff was incredibly friendly. Being steps away from downtown and the gondola was exactly what we were looking for and we’ll definitely be back. Save yourself the $50-100 in resort fees/taxes and stay at the Blue Jay Lodge, you will not be disappointed."

"This was my favorite vacation ever! The BJL is walkable distance to the Heavenly Gondola and right around the corner from all the shops and restaurants. The interiors of the hotel room is updated and clean and spacious and aesthetic! Looks like what you would imagine a cabin getaway to be like. The doors into the room use a key code so I never had to worry about losing a physical key. The service is actually the best I’ve ever had for a hotel. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I will be coming back here."

"The room was very clean. I loved the room. The only issue we had was the noise from upstairs. We had 3 restless nights. I contacted the property but did not get an answer back. I hope they will do something about that. The noise will make your stay unpleasant."
