"I dropped off my board to get a "performance tune" for $40 because the board was sticky/grabby in the snow. I test rode it after picking up the board and it was still sticky/grabby. I took the board to two other shops and both stated nothing was done to the board and the bottom was dry. So I had to pay another $35 to get a hot wax done. I've been trying to call this location for a few days and no luck. Wouldn't go here again and would not recommend the shop. Update: I adjusted my rating to 4. There was the issue of the tune on my board. However, The owners and manager reached out asap to help resolve and find the root cause. They were able to identify what the issue was and helped me resolve it asap. Thank you very much for the responsiveness and help!"

"I went to powder house because I was having trouble with my right ski boot , which was causing me constant pain on my right foot while skiing and walking. Andy, one of the staff immediately knew the kind of pain I was facing by testing the boot on my right foot. He then took the boot and heated it and made the boot bigger on the side of the pain by making a large bump. My foot instantly felt better today and I have both Andy and powder house to thank. Prices were amazing too."

"Placed a reservation online the day before pickup. As expected it asked for the usual information: name, address, phone number, payment information, shoe size, etc. When I arrived and asked where I go to pickup an online reservation I was directed to a computer kiosk. From there I had to enter... name, address, and phone number again to pull up my reservation. I then had to go to the front where they needed... payment information. I was handed off to a rental associate who then asked for... my shoe size. What was the point of me filling out any of this information online? A few minutes later the associate came back to inform me that they were all out of boots in my size. I'm a little confused at the definition of "reservation" because it apparently means something else here. On top of this every, employee I spoke with seemed like me asking a question was an absolute burden and inconvenience for them. It is safe to say the only reason this stays in business is due to their location and ability to take advantage of tourists who don't know any better."

"Fantastic place to rent and buy equipment from. Mark spent about a half an hour going over different skis and their pluses and minuses for my son and I. We rented skis for 2 days tried four different pairs. My son fell in love with the Faction CT 2.0 Rose and they gave us 25% off plus wiped away all of our rental fees. Ended up saving about 45% on a brand new pair of skis. These guys are super knowledgeable and very helpful. They weren't very pushy like a lot of places. If you want good quality information and demo the latest and greatest this is definitely the place to come when you're in Lake Tahoe."
