"Clean comfortable bed quite very very nice. Great price. Great tub to. Upstairs creaked a bit when someone went by but other than that it's great."
"I made a reservation and they charged my bank account automatically. I tried to call 2 weeks before arrive to cancel and they said I had to contact Priceline. Priceline said that the hotel would determine if they would reimburse me. I tried to call to let them know we cannot make it because of the snow storms in the Sierra’s and no one will call me back. I would not recommend this place! Their customer service is zero! They had over $65 of hidden fees and they don’t even get 1 star!!!!"
"We came up to Tahoe, because my husband used to live there and wanted to go back to a place he thought was beautiful, and had good memories. No offense, but it's not the Tahoe he remembers. We checked into the Alpine Inn and Spa, and the people that work there were very nice. The room itself, was really dank, and dingy, and dark. When my husband went in with the man to open the door for us, there were wires hanging down from the television and when the man tried to fix that, the TV fell off the wall! My husband had to help the man put the TV back on the wall. The smoke alarm was attached to the wall with a piece of some kind of metal. It was a very gross room. It was inexpensive, $80 a night, plus 25 for our dog. We couldn't stand it in there! I guess it's okay if you want to go in there and use it just to sleep. Some people checked in next door, and they were partying. I have nothing against partying, but you could hear everything through the wall. It was very loud and unpleasant. We couldn't stay we had to get out of there! The man refunded our money for the dog, for 3 days, $75. We had set up a reservation for 3 days. We did get our money back from the website that we used to book the hotel. So that was good! I would not recommend this place unless you're just going there to sleep, or you want to use it as a place to party. All in all the area was sort of gross. There were no sidewalks to walk down to the lake."
"Not sure where these other reviewers stayed but it wasn’t at the Alpine Inn & “spa”. This place was disgusting and that’s being nice. They clearly don’t have a maintenance person either. Take my advice and sleep in your car if this is the only place you can afford. (in response to motels response): I went to them immediately and we found a room at another motel. Counter person said they would take care of the charges (which were through "Hotel Tonight"). They did not & The Alpine refused my refund. We were in that room for 2 minutes. No refund. No returned calls. The management is as bad as the motel. Couldn't reach anyone during the 4 days following this disaster. Even went back the next day asking for help and all they would do is give me an email address since they said they couldn't help me. A terrible experience & I assume the other reviews were made by the motel owner because there is no other possible explanation."
"I usually don’t write bad reviews but this by far was the worse hotel I have ever stayed at. It was $500 a night. You book online and it tells you it’s 300 after fees it’s $500. Ok that’s expected it’s Tahoe . I was so excited it had a hot tub. Well it’s not a hot tub it does not get hot it’s filthy and falling apart the sides of the so called hot tub are press board . The pool has rust and moss. My ac in my room didn’t work. They claimed the beds were 2 queens which I had to pay more for the beds were fulls . Very small beds many of the blinds are missing and early in the morning the light came in and woke me up. The shower didn’t work it leaked and would not spray needed a new head . It does not look like they clean these rooms at all everything is broken. I paid more for this hotel because I wanted that small home town feel I could have went to the hard rock for cheaper. This hotel was a disgusting nightmare."
