"Nothing but positive things and great customer service. After being with other companies for years my employer suggested American Family Insurance, specifically James Fewins office. I was able to get better coverage with a lower deductible. My rates have fluctuated up and down over the years. Nothing ever extreme even after a couple of small claims. Christine in the office is absolutely wonderful as are the other employees I have dealt with. I have now been with American Family for years and will always recommend. Thank you."
"I have been a customer with AMFAM since 2018. I had no issues until late 2020. My dad switched to a different insurance company and that’s when all of the issues started. Although my dad and I have separate accounts, my insurance policy was canceled without any notice. When I contacted AMFAM, Bryan assured me that this was an error and it would be immediately fixed. I thought this would be a simple fix and I would continue with my coverage. Fast forward one month and I receive an email saying that my account is past due and my coverage was going to be terminated. I log onto my account and I see an outstanding charge for over $600.... my policy was only around $100. I also had autopay set up so I contacted AMFAM asking why my autopay was canceled and why I was being charged over $600. I was told that when my account was accidentally terminated, my autopay must have been removed. They also said that the “system” had made my younger brother the primary policy holder. How can this be when my brother was on a whole separate account and he had never been previously on my policy? I was assured once again by Bryan that this would be fixed right away. At this point I had sent numerous emails to James and not once did I get an email or a call explaining what happened or even apologizing for their mistakes. I decided at that point to leave AMFAM due to their frequent “errors” and lack of communication. I ensured with Bryan and Elizabeth (James’ wife) that I would have coverage until 2/6/2021 and that there was nothing else I needed to do on my end. Fast forward to April 2021. I get a collections notice sent in the mail for $453.95. I sent James, Elizabeth, and Bryan an email. No response. I call the office and I get Bryan’s voicemail so I leave a message. I call back and get through to the receptionist. She puts me on hold and says that they are trying to “fix” it and if I want James can call me back tomorrow. I say “no I’d like to be filled in on what’s going on as soon as possible. Not tomorrow.” She says she will tell him to call me back by the end of the day. I log onto my online account to see if I can figure out where this charge is coming from and it says I have no outstanding charges. I then check my emails to see if I missed any emails about an outstanding balance. Nothing. After a few hours and still no response, I call back. I am told that Bryan will call me back and that it’s on his schedule for the day. I receive an email from Bryan saying they are working to fix this mistake and that my credit will not be affected. Still no explanation of where this charge came from. I called the collections company and they said the charge is still there even though Bryan assured me it would be taken care of. I submitted the written proof (email) that Bryan sent me this afternoon, so hopefully this will all be taken care of soon. The collections company now has proof that this charge was an error done by AMFAM. I have still never heard from James throughout this entire process which has been a span of several months. I have not been a customer with AMFAM since February and I am still dealing with issues. If anyone is thinking about getting insured through James, please go somewhere else. This has been a horrible experience."
"This review is a long time in coming because first I took the time to analyze. Over the years this group has proven themselves to be professional, amiable, capable and ethical. They have always come through for me. I would highly recommend them to others. Addendum: In all the years I've done business with them, which is many, James has never lied to me, never let me down, and never made false promises. He kept his word. He stepped in to help with with three major issues in my life. I am grateful. I will continue to do business with him for many years."
