"On the 28th of Aug. my retirement check was not deposited in my account at US Bank I’ve been collecting for 11years I moved did not give them a change of address form so they withheld my pay I was $1500 in overdraft and my mortgage was due no money. Frantically I called PERS and gave them a verbal address change on the 28th on the 29th I faxed a change of address form and checked the box to continue with the direct deposit that was in place I called I also notarized the form just to be thorough I called on the 29th they would not accept it even though it says I can mail or fax any of those forms instead they wanted me to send the original form of the change of address by mail so on the 30th I did they said they would accept that now they are saying I need to do a verification form why for beneficiary info. WHAT? They no I out lived all my beneficiary s and told ma I could not have anymore beneficiary’s so they already know it’s just me and a new address they have it it’s been 15 days my pay is not in there im now losing my home I was on a month to month and my bank is closing my account now they will send a check to a closed account because of there actions they now have ruined my credit they have 48 hrs to deposit the money or all that I have said. Wil happen I don’t need to verify anything but the address change My last name isMohamed im starting to believe I might be a victim of a hate crime it happened before in the finance dept with Audrey Noriega they are knowingly putting myself on the street with my cat and bird soon I’ll be a homeless vet they say they can’t use Faxes yet there own information says by “by mail /FAX on all 16 forms if my account is closed by there non actions I will have the attorney general and what ever. Organizations regulate them PS a supervisor from Carson city PERS told me that the Nye county teacher police and bus drivers are not part of pets I live in Pahrump they are state workers these people are like machines that are incompetent it’s like talking to an uncaring machine my life is being destroyed by them there own written guidelines prove them to be they have my new physical address and no change in banking but because of there in action my life will be destroyed sincerely REZK MOHAMED retired in 2012 been collecting ever since now I here the Carson city office is closed and Las Vegas office you can only go s few hours. In the day what’s happening do I files criminal complaint I’m starving and my animals are also"

"Retired and called to set up PERS, it says unable to locate me. I served for ten years on my City Counsel and now feel forgotten. No follow up or call back."

"In the year 2022, you STILL cannot change your address online. WHY? Tried 4 x to get my retirement DIRECT DEPOSITED like my other paychecks for current jobs (post retirement work) and EVERY TIME there is a GLITCH on PERS end. DOES NOT INSTILL MUCH CONFIDENCE in PERS handling my retirement!! Truly unacceptable."

"What an absolute nightmare and the perfect example of state service in Nevada. It’s truly the last punctuation mark on a terrible end to state service. Be prepared for drama and endless phone calls trying to determine where on earth your PERS check is once you leave state service. From hopelessly waiting for the check to arrive, to calling every day to determine if the undelivered check had been returned to the PERS office - where no one thinks to check if it has, and then notify the recipient that the check was undelivered - to the inability to simply do direct deposit and avoid this nightmare in the first place, it’s just a terrible, outdated, poorly-communicated process. There’s absolutely zero communication, because you’re never told if your check has been returned to their office, and if you have a change of address, it must be submitted via written letter. They simply don’t provide tracking for your important check, so there’s just no point in this process where you have any control or peace of mind. Awful."
