"The sales portion of this process was seamless. Steve had great ideas & really followed up well. However, that was the only part of the process that was good. This company hires third party contractors to do their work. Hind sight we should have asked so… this is why we are sharing our horrible experience here. When third parties are hired you don’t know which company or who is doing the work until they show up. Which means you don’t know if they are licensed, have complaints against them, or if they are even legally working. And boy does it show… from the crew that destroyed our walls during take out, couldn’t read the plans to put up the cabinets in the right order/place, literally used hammers on the new cabinets to whack them and jam them into the space along my ceiling, and they didn’t level the cabinets, their doors, or the handles. To the company that they hired to do the “construction” portion of things who couldn’t put in electrical plugs straight (and it was very obvious), they put the wrong hood vent cover (stove) on the outside vent & left it hanging until we went and got the correct one & told them to put it on (it still isn’t really secure), they also made the decision to NOT use all of the existing hoses for the dishwasher which left a possibility of future leaks going undetected (so they had to come back to fix that), they also couldn’t put in the stove hood straight and had to have the foreman come and do it. Come to find out later on this company has a record of complaint with the board for doing things without proper permits. But the worse, is that they left the drain under the kitchen sink too high to allow for proper drainage (the new sink sat lower in the cabinet) and they didn’t connect the garbage disposal securely so it was “hanging” there. We ended up having a leak under the sink that caused thousand of dollars of damage and this company didn’t stand by the agreement made to accommodate for the damage. West Coast Cabinets always had a “best” guy to come in and fix any issues we had from wall patches, cabinet colors, and cabinet repairs. So each step was done incorrect and someone else had to come fix it. The whole install process was stressful and horrible. This company doesn’t care about how the work gets done or how much inconvenience is caused to the home owner. They just want the $$$. Now I know this review reflects the poor work of the third party contractors but overall we hired West Coast to do the job and it is their responsibility to ensure proper installation of their products as is promised via the contract. Do yourself a favor stay away from West Coast Cabinets & find a company that hires & pays their own workers and cares for their customers!"

"Rude and unhelpful. Asked if they allowed public walk-ins, they said yes. I went in and got turned away. I have Kraftmaid cabinets and need help ordering a drawer that fits the dimensions I took of the cabinets and the man inside told me to look online and find someone to make them for me. I don’t need them to make them, I need help finding the correct Kraftsmaid drawer and installation kit because I’m not a cabinet expert. I only came down here in the first place because Kraftsmaid website said I can get help ordering them here or at Lowe’s or Home Depot. I guess since I wasn’t interested in remodeling my entire kitchen, West Coast Cabinets doesn’t want to waste their time helping me. Boo."

"I just purchased a home and during the inspection we noticed a crack in the bathroom sink. I spoke with the person I was buying from and he stated that they were just installed and are under warranty. He was a man of his word and had it replaced. Two weeks after I moved in the other 3 sinks cracked in the exact location. So I called the previous owner and he told me to contact Steven Tarnow at West Coast Cabinets and Countertops and he would take care of me. Well I texted Steve, he got back to me 3 days later and said “ All of the sinks were fine at the time the house was inspected. The cost to replace the three sinks will be $600”. These were all newly installed sinks. Steve and West coast cabinet’s just lost a potential new customer. I recommend finding a company that stands behind their product and support their customers. Not even an effort to make things right. I’ll get theses sinks replaced with someone that wants my business. Steve could obviously care less."
