Reviews
"If you want to have the work done right the first time, this shop is the one to go to. They are honest and efficient. I’m writing this review as I have used a couple other off-road shops in Vegas and I would have to describe them as rogue or just plain incompetent. American Off-road Customs fixed a problem I had on my truck for over 2 years, that 3 other shops in town couldn’t figure out. weeks of having the vehicle."
"Was originally quoted 3hr labor to install winch and bumper then I told them that I would remove the original bumper and they said that it would help on the estimate. So after a 2hr install they still changed me 3hr and said that regardless of how long it takes they still charge the estimate even though I removed the bumper the point is the hourly rate should be an hourly rate per hour. And they didn't put the bottom bolts in the skid plate and used the short bolts for the tow bar brackets still a full nut but just poor workmanship, also just left my light cords balled up and just stuffed in the cavity of the bumper, just sad and sorry workmanship."
"After being royally screwed over by another shop in town and you know who you are! I asked some fellow jeepers about this shop. Everyone I spoke with had nothing bad to say! American offroad not only fixed the issues they also found & corrected a few things the other shop said they had done and were FULLY PAID FOR! Do yourselves a favor & save a headache this is the place to bring your offroad vehicle going forward honest & dependable!"
"My first experience there with Kyle was great. He helped me with a minor thing and didn't charge me. I thought this is my place. Then each time I've gone there I've gotten parts installed that seem to end up being defective and then I have to go back at an inconvenience to me, and have them replaced. I then may have to pay $140 an hour to replace a part that is under warranty. I got a new soft top put on and there's a huge gap in the back, they charged me $140 to fix "a cable that was off track " and nothing is any different there is still a huge gap. My check engine light keeps coming on for a part that is under warranty, but it will cost me approximately $500 in labor to replace and told I was lucky because I wouldn't have to pay for the part, but I already paid for all of this and still have to pay another $500 for labor?. I would rather take it to the dealer pay $200 an hour for something that would be covered unconditionally. Not to mention that a mechanic left a tool in the back of my Jeep after 1 of the repairs and I drove back there to return it. Even though the part I had replaced is under warranty, I'm still considering just going to the dealership and paying to have it taken care of rather than pay the $500 in labor, not sure they're installing good quality parts."
"I had my truck in there a few weeks ago to have my CV Axles replaced with extended CV axles. My truck is my daily driver, so I had to arrange accommodations to drop my truck off at the shop, and pick it up later. [When I dropped my truck off, they just asked for the keys. They didn't have me sign an estimate or anything. No paperwork what so ever. I found this to be a little odd.] I was told my truck would be ready in a few hours. This was supposed to be a 3-Hour job, but shortly after dropping my truck off, I received a phone call and was told my truck wouldn't be ready until the following day. Apparently this shop orders parts on the day of service from Oreilly's Auto Parts, and the CV Axles for my truck were not in stock at the local Oreilly's. I scheduled this service over a week in advance, and specifically so I could have it back in time for work the next day. Well, I had to make further arrangements to make it to work the following day, and then find a way to pick up my truck after work. This 3-Hour job turned into a 36-Hour job. When I went to pick up my truck, they were nice enough to give me $75 Off my $1,050 service bill, ONLY AFTER asking for some compensation for the extreme inconvenience. I specifically took my truck to a shop to try and avoid any inconvenience. My truck seems to be running fine after service, but I would NOT go back to this shop again. I found the whole experience to be very unprofessional.. I felt like I dropped my truck off at a friend's house to fix it rather than a service shop."
