"Super crazy overpriced! Got quoted 6k. Got the same job done by a 5 star, licensed diesel shop for 2500."
"Went here for smog certificate. The guy told me I need transmission service. I just had it serviced last year & had the paperwork & why are the checking the transmission fluid for a smog check. Transmission is just fine. Try to sell someone else. NOT going there again!"
"Great Shop with knowledgeable technicians. When you are looking for a shop to work on your car you want reliability, honesty, work done with integrity, and friendly service. Josh the lead technician shows all of those characteristics, and truly works on your vehicle with care as if it were for his own family in mind. No matter the job- big or small this shop is equipped with the knowledge and tools to get it done."
"Josh saved the day working on my 2017 F150. Typical ecoboost timing chain issue came up and the ford dealership wanted an arm and a leg. Josh made quick work of it and I haven’t had an issue since."
"Brought my 2015 Honda Odyssey here in November 2022 after Findlay Honda Northwest told me that my misfiring cylinder was due to bad piston rings that I needed half of the engine rebuilt (among other things) for whopping $10K to $15K in total repairs. At the time Phil was manager over at VIP and I got Josh as my mechanic. Both were fantastic to work with and did a leak-down test on the engine to confirm Findlay Honda's diagnosis, only to discover that my piston rings were absolutely fine. In actuality an oil leak from the valve cover had fouled the spark plugs and ignition cables on one side of the engine and the leak needed repair with the spark plugs and wires needing replacement. Given the reduced cost of the repair I had them do the suspension work, front brakes and fix the bad (leaking?) control arm as well. Josh was very meticulous in his work and did a great job and Phil was great at making himself available to answer questions and make sure I was happy. Fast forward to March/April 2023.... I brought the Odyssey back to have the timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, alternator and AC compressor done. This experience was not as smooth as I did have to bring the vehicle back several times for some re-checks, but in the end, the new manager over at VIP Auto (Dan) wanted to make sure everything was right. He apologized for the multiple trips and for some bad information he received from the Honda dealer's parts department incorrectly telling him a part was discontinued and gave me a free oil change along with a meticulous inspection to make sure I was driving away happy and satisfied with their service. He went the extra mile to make up for multiple trips."
