Marcolino's Italia 254 West 1st Street, Reno, NV 89501

"My friend and I recently drive into Reno for a conference for the first weekend in March. After an 11.5 hour drive, we were looking for a nice Italian restaurant to eat at. Just by shear luck we decided Marcolino’s was the place to have dinner. We did not have a reservation and were able to get a table within reasonable time. The waitress was great at welcoming us and getting us a table. The restaurant is relatively small but a great atmosphere to dine in. We ordered the garlic bread which a piece fell off when it was brought to the table. The waitress immediately had another garlic bread fired and brought out within minutes, without charging us for another. I ordered the Penna Ala Vodka Chicken and my friend ordered the Chicken Parm. Once the food come out it was looking delicious and it was great. For dessert, I ordered the New York Cheesecake which was creamy and rich. My friend ordered the Spumoni which the other waiter mentioned it was just shipped in from San Francisco, also delicious. Overall, we were definitely satisfied with our experience and of course the food. Compliments to the chef and the great staff. We were also told that Marcolino’s started off as a food truck and just had recently moved into this building not too long ago."

"This was our second dining experience at Marcolino’s. We were lucky to be seated at the one and only bar type table facing the window with a view of the Truckee river and snow covered park. The service is personal and attentive. Most importantly the food is exceptional! The sauces are varied and complimentary to each dish. The rib eye steak melts in your mouth.What’s Italian about steak? The mushroom sauce and the creamy garlic potatoes! My husband thought the chicken piccata was the best he has had. It is pricy at Marcolino’s, but last night we splurged. You can easily split entrees and salads. The portions of both are generous. But, the choices make it a difficult decision for two people to agree upon."

"Tonight was out first time dining at Marcolino's. The owner was delightful along with the rest of the staff. They were attentive without being pushy or even very noticed. Filling water glasses and clearing dishes without interrupting our conversation. We actually had to ask the to leave plates to show off how we ate everything in reach. The food was great. Memories of Italy played on the walls and danced on my tongue. Can't wait to return. We had the fried Raviolis, pesto tortellini, and Chicken Marcella."

"From the moment we stepped in the people made this place inviting! And after we sat every moment was amazing. The men we served us were so helpful accommodating, especially with our smalll Children. The food was so divine! Every thing we had all the way to dessert and wine! We highly recommend and we will be back!!"

"I love to see a favorite food truck from Reno's food truck Friday turn into a brick and morter restaurant and to remain downtown. There isn't enough restaurants that aren't attached to a casino that are truly worth eating at again and again. This place is going to be one of my go to for some take out and dinner with friends. I thought the server was great. This place is still a small hole in the wall but worth making a reservation or trying your luck before too many people discover it and tell their foodie friends. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I AM GOING TO TRY THE WHOLE MENU."
