They worked with our insurance for approval of our work to be done and took this stress off of us, which was so much appreciated. "I strongly advise against hiring American Water Damage and Reconstruction for any home restoration projects. We initially selected them based on positive reviews, but our experience was tremendously unsatisfactory and a waste of time and money. The flooring replacement was completely botched - we later uncovered damaged planks and uneven sections, indicating shoddy and rushed work. Throughout the project, the project manager was difficult to reach and showed little follow-through on commitments. The work for our very small basement dragged on for nearly 5 months. Far from the quality expected of professionals, their paint job was sloppy and incomplete. Numerous wall spots were left partially uncovered and they didn't even use painter's tape, leaving drips and splatters. Though they sloppily splattered paint all over the trim, they didn't repaint the trip as they indicated they would. Their negligence also resulted in a cracked bathroom countertop. By the project's end, we were so exhausted from the experience that we didn't feel pursuing any more conversation with them was worthwhile. Most frustratingly, when we requested to find a new contractor, American Water Damage informed us that we no longer had that option since they had coordinated with our insurer already. We felt trapped, forced to continue with terrible work while our basement sat in shambles. In closing, think twice before entrusting American Water Damage with your restoration needs. We ended up redoing much of their subpar work. There are far better options out there for companies that value customer satisfaction. We highly recommend you look elsewhere."

"Rude. Dishonest. Unprofressional. If I was to use three words to describe this company, these would be the three. They gave me an estiate to fix water damage in my basement. After ripping out the carpet, leaving a giant mess, and doing the bare minimum work, they failed to come back and complete the job. When I called repeatedly to get an answer from them, they never returned my call. When they finally did, they demanded more money to complete what they originally promised to do. Stay away. I learned my lesson the hard way, I hope to save other people from experiencing the same."

"We were referred to American Water Damage, after our pipes burst and the house sustained severe water damage in the kitchen and bathroom. Everyone we interacted with, from the coordinator (Courtney M), Initial Assessor (Ben B), Demo Crew lead (Jack), Project Manager (Mark J) and repair work crew (Jose and Mario) were professional, knowledgeable, and empathetic to our situation. I really appreciated how easy they made the process, working with our home insurance claims adjustor. The financial piece was something I was stressed about, and American Water Damage took care of the paperwork behind the scenes and really made the process seamless! They acted with urgency and performed high quality work from the initial demo process to the completion of all the repairs (floor installation in the kitchen and bathroom, drywall, paint job in the kitchen/bathroom, trim and reinstallation of cabinets and counters). The house is in better condition after the repair work than it was before! We are so thankful for the careful and quick repair work performed by Jose and Mario, and the communication from Mark. House repairs can be a nightmare with the wrong company, but our experience was fantastic, and we will recommend American Water Damage to our friends and family because they exceeded our expectations."
