"We were in the store Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., trying to find otos (great algae eaters - they were out of stock) and some smaller fish for one of our tanks. We’d made two passes of the fish wall when three Petco employees came up to the fish wall (one appeared to be acting in a supervisory capacity, questioning Jae and the other associate). We made one more pass of the fish wall without being acknowledged at all. I told the cashier about our experience on the way out and she said, “OK.” I can’t imagine a better way to demonstrate not caring about customers."

"Very helpful staff and friendly. Very knowledgeable in products. Greer you when they see you. I would reccomend you bring your own bags now tho. I usually don't need them but you will be charged for them now. I just forget unless I'm grocery shopping"

"Kevin is the only good employee this store has literally. I will only shop here because of him. The rest of the employees are a joke. I’m assuming Doug is the manager there. I have never met someone more pissed off at his life than this guy. Throwing his arms up in the air. Whatever just take care of the customer. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location even though it’s closer. I’d rather drive to the apple valley petco where the Employees all are great. Store very clean. Maybe corporate needs to take a stop in at the Burnsville location."

"I had to stop in quick for cat food, I had a friend waiting at my house and didn’t want to take too long. When I get to the cashier, he kept pressing me and pressing me for my phone number and wouldn’t let me say no. I rejected him about four times and told him I didn’t care if I could save a dollar, I needed to go I was in a rush. He paid no kind to that and kept pushing me. He then said, can I just make up a random number for you to put in, I said whatever I just need to go. I then had to wait for him as he tried to think of a random number I would be able to memorize. So I asked again, please just skip it. And he finally did, he was aggravated for the rest of the transaction. This happened this summer, and it still bothers me when I walk into the store and the people are always pushing for my number."

"I ONLY came there as it was handy for my daughter to buy some toys for a foster cat. I vowed NEVER to shop there myself, as my last encounter was horrible. They did not honor their cat food replacement policy and the saleslady was quite rude about it. This visit--for my daughter to shop for cat toys--was equally bad as the cashier said it would be 10 cents for a bag for the toys! UNBELIEVABLE. This store is the WORST."
