"Visit was quick and dr was nice as well as staff. However getting an appt in a timely manner is another story. It takes between 3-5 months to get an appointment. So if you aren’t a planner I wouldn’t recommend them."
"First time patient at Pritchett and I saw Dr. Dennis Farnsworth. I thought he was thorough, personable and efficient. My frames were ready for pick up in 2 weeks which was great as they estimated 3-4 weeks. I originally scheduled my appointment at the South Reno location and waited 6 months for the appointment- soonest availability from all their locations. I drove 40 minutes across town and the power ended up being out so I couldn’t be seen. My fiancé called Los Altos, explained the situation and they were able to get me in 3 days later. Great experience at Los Altos!"
"I left this office crying today. I wanna share my story incase anyone else has a similar Experince to mine. It was time for my yearly checkup and new glasses. My insurance covers the exam and one new pair of glasses once a year. As I was choosing my new pair there were two I really liked. I had just come into some spare Christmas money so I asked the woman helping me make my order how much a second pair of glasses would cost me. She told me the total was gonna be 149 plus tax. I agreed and when I went to the front desk and I paid what I thought was gonna be the total. When my 1st pair of glasses arrived I was informed I still had a balance of 150 on my account. Confused I said “I already paid that when I ordered the glasses”. I got help from a woman who explained that the total was not 149 but was actually 300 double the amount. After a bit of back and forth tryna figure out what was going on we were told it was a double charge and that they would contacting the billing company. I was flustered but I can understand a mistake like that. The woman who helped me was very kind and patient. Then today I got a text saying my second pair was available. I went in to pick them up and they were not there, but the same woman who helped me the last time was and she had more information. Turns out it was not a double charge. That the total for the pair of glasses was 275 and that I still owed 150 on the glasses. When I asked the woman helping to explain she basically said. According to her manager, the woman who sold me the glasses, I was informed that I was to pay half now and half later and that I agreed. I said “that conversation did not happen.” Now that I look at it even the math doesn’t add up. The woman who helped me gave me a full refund, canceled my second pair, and did her best to sympathize with me. She acknowledged that I’m very pregnant and she wasn’t gonna take away my glasses nor make this worse. She solved my problem for me and was very patient with my tears. I was told by another customer the same thing happened to her, and that it’s best to get your prescription and go buy glasses somewhere else. The frustration, the back and forth, the embarrassment of crying in the middle of their office unsure of how I was gonna pay off the glasses is too much for me. Thank god the woman gave me a refund so at least I’m not in debt to prichette but I don’t think I will be going back. It’s not necessarily the staff as they are all very sweet (except the manager who sells the glasses) . It’s the being told one price and being expected to pay double from what I was told. Absolutely humiliating I felt like it was my word against the managers and there was nothing I could do. So thank god for the woman who helped me. She and her coworkers also have my 1 year old some toys to keep her busy while I fought the extra charge, which I really appreciate. If your gonna pay for glasses here I suggest recording your conversation on price so your not just relying on your word. Thanks for reading."
"The girls at the front desk are very nice and helpful. The doctors and nurses are great. I had to change doctors/offices within the last few years due to insurance and I'm so happy I found Pritchett Eye Care. I've had such a great experience with their sparks office."
"They deserve zero starts very unprofessional. The doctor was great however they don’t listen to you. I asked for glasses several times and made the appointment for glasses and they tried charging me for contacts. As well they tell you glasses take two weeks. Then when that day came “oh it takes 2 and a half weeks”. Then that day came oh it takes three weeks. They lied several times and when I got the glasses I received no help as well they gave me a broken case for them. No explanation on the warranty or anything. If possible go to Costco they’re fast and good. Also not overly expensive with or without insurance."
