"Submitted paperwork to get services and was told to wait 6 weeks for an appointment. I followed up after the 6 weeks just to be told my paperwork had been lost. And that was pretty much it."
"Bottom line: If you have the privilege of being able to afford/find therapy elsewhere, DO NOT participate in this program. The office staff is routinely unprofessional, unreliable, and in need of sensitivity training (and often basic manners). The student I had was kind, but she did not advocate for me as her client/patient. Here’s my experience: This is the fourth week in a row I have had a scheduled “reoccurring” 5pm appointment with one of their students for therapy. They called to confirm this appointment on Friday. When I arrived the lights were off, but the front desk girl checked me in. After waiting a few minutes, a much older member of the staff came out and was wiping down chairs. She said they were all about to leave before I walked in, because today it was decided that the office would close early and appointments after today would be done online. I said I wish they would have called but that I could just go home, and she excitedly told the girl at the front desk that I would “skip today”. The younger girl smiled at me for the first time in four weeks while she took down my e-mail. I had to drive 30 minutes to get there, and I again said I wished they would have called. The old woman began to argue with me about how I did not deserve a cancellation call because “the decision was JUST made today” and “there are 600 clients here”. I eventually said that was fine and that I would not return, because I luckily have the means to seek therapy elsewhere. My student, Renae, (who stood behind the front desk watching and listening to all of this) said nothing, and then waved goodbye to me when I said it was nice to have met her on my way out."
"My wife attended therapy at this location, and she had a scheduled appointment at 5PM on a Monday. The prior Friday, the office called to confirm the appointment. My wife confirmed the appointment, and showed up on Monday. When she arrived, the entire staff was preparing to leave for the day, stating the decision was made earlier in the day to close early. The office neglected to contact my wife, and made her feel like she was in the wrong after she drove 30 minutes to a her appointment and was upset that she was not contacted. Considering this a mental health facility, this behavior was extremely unprofessional and frankly, dangerous."
"Horrible other than the therapist I had there. She had the same concerns as myself. Lack and poor communication between office staff. Front office staff rude. I can agree to the front office staff. Unprofessional. Including the director. Conflict of interest much being friends with the neurothrapist renting a room? I only remained there because of my therapist other than that, would have changed offices. Now she has moved offices, she doesn't have the time for my needs. I've been on the search for another therapist i feel comfortable with accepting medicaid but unable finding one. One therapist during a neurofeedback video chat (was told a requirement before sessions began by Medicaid) had his shirt off while at home etc; totally inappropriate. Shady practices I feel. They dont care about their clients. I didn't care for my sons therapist either but had no choice but to remain with her. An agency im dealing with, wouldn't allow my therapist be his therapist; though she knew my son and I somewhat in our talking during my sessions. Felt better to have her help my son and I than someone who didn't know me with a bias opinion. Mental health services in Nevada have been known to be the worse. Didn't care for the fact Dr centric refusing to fill out any paperwork even if it were to help their client. No one wants to get involved in legalities either. After my therapist moved, she told me i put up a good fight and to move on. Not something you say to a client. I don't agree with that other than possibly having said what more can i do to help? Anissa i didn't care for either. She was rude. Thankful shes no longer there. The director basically told me to lie to the agency i was working with having sessions with her, when i never had any sessions with her; only with my therapist. I would avoid this office as much as possible. I asked for my sons records, have yet to receive. Also told i don't have access to my full records; really? Isnt that against hippa rights?"
"Absolutely horrible. The worst mental health care I've ever witnessed. This place is dangerous and will without a doubt contribute to suicides in the near future. No matter how severely you are suffering you are required to have 3 appointments with nothing but talk therapy before you are allowed to see a psychiatrist. When you finally do get in the Dr. will let you know that God made women more emotional than men so that's probably contributing to your 'moods'. He has joked about having my husband just lock me in the basement when I have broken down about my worsening mood swings and cried for help. If at any point you decide to seek actual therapy elsewhere instead of through them you will no longer be allowed to see the Dr. I was told this at 9pm on the night before my appoinment, instead of when I informed them I had found another therapist, causing me to run out of medication. The lack of care about patients is disgusting. If you have any questions or concerns about medications the Dr. does prescribe you, your only option is to ask your primary care Dr or go to the ER. He will not communicate with patients AT ALL outside of monthly appointments. I have heard the front desk girls bad mouthing patients on 3 separate occasions and been told by Anissa (the main bad mouther) how missing appointments affects the therapist paychecks. It's been embarrassing, uncomfortable and beyond inappropriate. I can't caution you enough to seek help from ANYWHERE else. I'm not sure how this place is still open and I beg anyone in crisis to avoid this office like the plague."
