Reviews
"This is a basic local sushi restaurant that has a great selection of rolls. Fish was fresh. Rolls were good. The take-out specials (e.g. 3 rolls special) helped my wallet. Overall, we liked the food and service and we will come back. BTW, the maki rolls that we got was a bit small because it does not have a lot of rice. Well, that was just how we liked our rolls (for lower cab diet). Thank you so much."
"The service was great and friendly. The food is extremely good; best nigiri I've ever had. Stay away from the fried food though, particularly the appetizers. They over bread everything and the only flavor you get is fried batter. Other than that the rolls and raw are some of the best!"
"I will caveat my review by saying I've been to Japan decades ago and regularly eat grocery store sushi and like it. This was a great place in every way. The food was great, as was the service. It's not overly expensive, but I found it was worth getting the all-you-can-eat, which made me feel a little more adventurous. It was a lot of fun to try so many things. The staff are friendly and professional, making the visit an alla round pleasant experience."
"We decided to try this place at our family friend's recommendation. Our overall experience left us wishing we had gone somewhere else for the same cost. Maybe we came on a bad day, but we were not impressed with with quality of sushi or the service. We were seated and our orders were taken pretty quickly. I ordered an a la carte roll for $11 that ended up being nickle-sized in diameter with salmon on top that was so thin that you could see the rice clearly through it. It tasted mediocre at best. The person with me ordered all-you-can-eat and basically had to beg someone to get us another sheet for ordering, twice, and I was only asked for a drink (water) refill right before I left after we had been there well over an hour. Kitchen was slow at making the second order. Staff was nice, but inattentive, even though it wasn't busy. It is sad to say that Smith's grocery store sushi is better quality and value than this place was when we visited."
"This is a strip mall location so you are sharing your parking for this restaurant with all the other businesses. I had no problem parking here at 11:00 a.m. but I suspect by noon it is completely packed. Their namesake roll is absolutely delicious and probably the best roll they make. For nigiri, I particularly enjoyed the Mickey mouse. That included Cajun tuna, which had a unique flavor that I haven't tasted compared to the other Cajun tuna or fish recipes at other sushi restaurants. Everything else was just fine. Don't get me wrong, those two particular menu items were delicious. I heard that other people had issues with the service. I did not. I was polite and happy to be there and they were equally polite and on the ball which is great."
