"Awesome management, maintenance & caretakers they all are super friendly & professional. The location is outstanding been here for 20 years & it keeps getting better! My wife & I love living here! A+"
"I have been living in this complex since 2013. The only problem I have is they say they change the carpet every 7 years and when I moved into my 2nd townhome in 2018 they only changed the living room carpet. The other carpet looked clean but it was already looking flat so I know that it has been here longer than 7 years now. We have been faithful tenants and they have been good to us but we should get new carpet free of charge since it was already here when we moved in as a transfer from another townhome. They should always take care of their faithful tenants. We started in a 2-bedroom apartment and stayed there for 4 years before our family started growing. This place has changed a lot. I'm proud to be a tenant of the Old Hopkins Plaza to the New 151 on 8th. If I ever leave here it will be back to the country life. I love Hopkins and wouldn't trade it for any other city/town in Minnesota."
"This place requires cats to be declawed. This is an inhumane practice that leaves cats crippled and in excruciating pain for life. These people are on the wrong side of history and if I had known that they would tell me to mutilate my pets I would never even start to consider living here. I feel cheated and betrayed by these horrid people. Edit: to the 151 on 8th person who replied saying this is not the case, and then deleted that post, I'm glad you realized you were lying lol. Here's proof that 151 on 8th requires cats to be abused. And for the record? When I lived here I NEVER declawed my cats. Screw you."
"It's just fine - a little pricey for the quality, but it's adequate. The staff are always friendly and maintenance requests have been attended to in a reasonable amount of time. I noticed one of the earlier reviews that said that they require cats to be declawed - we have lived here for four years with two cats, and that is certainly not the case. We were sure to review their pet policy and read the lease carefully. It is annoying that there's a $250 pet deposit and a $150 non-refundable pet approval fee and a $15/cat/mo fee on top of that. Pic related, it's our two (claw-having) cats in this apartment!"
"The quality of service has went down on these apartments. I have lived here for nearly six years. The card reader to add money on the laundry cards do not work. It gets an communication error. We asked about when this repair will be made. I was told that I need to go to the vendor's website and pay for a code to recharge my card. They stated that the vendor will be out in May to fix this issue. This unit will be down for over six weeks by then. I transferred units and when hanging my clothes in the closet, all the shelving in the closet fell down. The management tried to charge me for custom shelving in the master bedroom. The closet shelving fell three times before I convinced the manager to look at the situation for himself. He then sided with me and had the maintenance man to install the shelving correctly. The maintenance man was not putting enough support beams under the shelving. This was frustrating and I had to take pressed clothes back to the cleaners. The manager told me he had other units with the same issue. The elevator in building 151 sounds broken. They made a repair about six months ago and you can hear the cabling make noise when you step on the elevator. It makes you believe the elevator is bouncing around up and down. The laundry room door is missing on the second floor and the door closer was hanging so that you need to duck not to get hit in the head. There is always an issue with the laundry machines. The doors wont close. The door is broken off. The machines are turned side ways. They updated the property and took away one of the trash cans. Now the trash cans fill up quick. They changed the name and update the look to attracted new customers, but they forgot what customers want, quality service and a good experience. They should spend money on that!"
