"For the people who were complaining about damage to items because of how it was packed, this company does not pack the items, they only allow you to pack (or hire someone to pack) and secure them, provide a partition wall for you to secure it with, and drive it across the country. It is up to you to make sure that you safely pack, pad, and secure your items to make sure they do not get damaged. There are specific instructions within the truck to tell you how to safely secure your items, use the ramp, etc.. That would explain why there were no movers at the other end for the one reviewer. In any case, we had a few bumps in the planning with U-Pack, but they went so far out of their way to make sure that everything went smoothly and went above and beyond with customer service. I was so stressed out with the move and Carrie helped me to feel so much better. Dee in Customer Service spent a lot of time personally making sure everything was working out for us. Both the guys in California and here in Kansas City were very good about helping to explain everything we needed to know about the truck when they dropped it off and picked it up. Overall, we are extremely happy that we hired U-Pack. We paid so much less than we would have for a POD (or similar unit) and U-Pack provided the flexibility we needed to avoid having to use a POD."

"I am absolutely furious with this company. When we got our stuff from Arkansas to Michigan the truck was an absolute mess. Stuff was just thrown on there. None of our upholstered furniture was covered and has stains from the straps they used. Our brand new refrigerator was barely wrapped and got scraped and dented all over it. Many pieces of wooden furniture were gouged and had to be discarded. I cannot believe that our things were put in the truck so carelessly by the movers. We had also paid for movers to come unpack everything off of the truck, and the driver dropped it off with no movers present. We had to find some on the spot. I would NEVER recommend this company."
