"Posting this for a loved one who applied here. Please note that it's under new management. She's a great manager who answers the phone or else calls back. THERE IS AT LEAST A YEAR LONG (MAYBE 2 YEARS) WAITING LIST IF YOU APPLY HERE. DO NOT APPLY IF YOU NEED SOMETHING FAST. Know that before you apply or you might be wasting your $20 application fee. This place has some horrible reviews so I decided that I would give it a good one. First, let me start by saying Saline County has a housing shortage. There are places taking application fees around $50-75 per each adult and making thousands in application fees without actually renting anything--or waiting 6 months to rent it while they collect all these fees. That alone is a scam. There are people on here trying to make this place out to be a scam--it's not a scam but it has a super huge waiting list. Please don't think for a minute this lady having a small $20 (really $16.50 to be exact) application fee is scamming you. She just has a super long list. Second, some of these places are making you put down a deposit of over $1000-1500. That deposit is one month's rent--sometimes two months rent. No matter how clean and nice you leave the place, you never get that deposit back. They simply find a reason to keep it. There are a lot of dumps here. Trailer parks that used to be $500 per month are now $995 per month because of after covid increases. There are a lot of places making a killing off public housing and covid rent prices. Now to talk about Westgate: Besides their small application fee, this place is no exception to the above. You have to put down a deposit--and you can't see the apartment before you rent it. That is bothersome. This place also requires a lot to move in. I have NEVER seen an apartment complex ask for so much. You have to go to the sheriff and get your own background check--along with the one they do. You have to go to the unemployment office if you are unemployed or on any kind of disability. It was crazy what we had to do to apply her here. Having said that, this is a beautiful place. Did I ever live here? No. Did she ever live here? No, because of the long waiting list. The girl on the phone declined to tell us it would be over a year. She made it sound like it was sooner. If you want to apply here and have time to spare, just look at the pictures that I took. This place is clean. This place is nice. I questioned two people who lived here and just happened to be outside when I was doing her application. They all loved it. I had one mention of roaches but everyone else mentioned it be quiet, nice, pretty, no crime, and just nice living there. There were almost no complaints. Almost no one has uploaded pictures of this place online and since it's impossible to take inside pictures, I took the liberty to take some yard pictures. These are one story buildings so no listening to the neighbors upstairs. There is a small playground. There is a place for your kids to ride their bikes. This place is really pretty and nice. If you don't get in here, consider applying at Northgate next door and Pine? next to it. They are all owned by this place. Since there is not a lot of information on the internet about this (You can't even view it on google maps), I thought that I would update this review with the rent price. Rent is $550-1000 per month depending on your income. That is unheard of in Saline County right now for a three bedroom. Most places are charging $1300-1500 and up for rent for a house. You have to make at least double the rent and they base your rent off your income. For example, if your income is $1500, then your rent is most likely around $750 for a two bedroom. Deposit is around $500. This place also takes Section 8 or public housing. This place has tons of apartments but most are 2 bedrooms:1 bedroom they have maybe 4-5 total, 3 bedroom they have maybe 4-5 total, but 2 bedrooms they have something like 30ish units. You can get in a lot faster if you chose a 2 bedroom. I have more but Google says I talk too much so I have to end this here."
"I’ve lived here almost 4 yrs.. was great at one time.. too many changes in management!! Terrible now!! Had to ask them to mow yards!! They never run air conditioning in laundry room.. 100 degrees outside and drying clothes is a task!! No one ever in office! You can’t get in touch with anyone… do not care about tenants anymore only money!! Keep going up on rent!!"
"The property manager is very unprofessional and tells lies just to get your money"
