"We spent a few days after Thanksgiving here to wind down after the holiday. This Holiday Inn Express is lovely. The employees are friendly and our room was updated and clean. We stayed in an accessible king suite which was wonderful. There was plenty of room for maneuvering in my wheelchair, including on both sides of the bed (one side was pull in/back out only). Nearly everything was within reach. The widow digital controlled which makes it so much more friendly for a wheeler to close the blinds. The bed had room for a hoyer lift underneath. The kitchenette area even had a roll under sink. The sitting area, bathroom, and bedroom were all very large and furnished excellent! Plenty of seating, nice colors, thoughtful placement to keep furniture out of the way of wheelchair movement (well done!). The carpet was low ply so not horrible to wheel on. Large TV in both the bedroom and sitting area. This was really just a great suite. The pool area was awesome - BOTH pools were accessible! I love that this hotel has an accessible hot tub. A+ on that. We did run into a few issues. The shower is roll in but there's no bench to transfer onto. They did have one bathtub transfer bench left so we used that. It fit a bit awkwardly but it worked. The kitchenette area weirdly was just empty. No soap, paper towels, dishes, nothing. Just cupboards, sink, fridge and tiny microwave. The bed is really really high. It's pretty hard to transfer into. This is common at hotels but be aware this one's really tall and difficult. Breakfast, agh, I run into this so much! I couldn't really get anything as I couldn't reach the food (or see what most of it was) from my chair. I was able to reach and get coffee at least so kudos there but wish I could have also gotten my own food. All in all, this hotel is wonderful. Clean, comfortable, friendly, and accommodating. I will definitely recommend it to others. I do hope they'll adjust the few issues we ran into as they aren't difficult to fix. We had a really nice time and enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel also."
"Stayed and came dressed for a funeral and was shocked at how the front desk treated me. No one greeted me. I just walked up to one of them. Lady who serviced me was probably sick of her job or isn't trained yet, which is understandable, but the lady hovering over her didn't seem to be helping much. Almost denied me of my rooms cause she didn't look at my ID correctly, which was awkward. But other than my experience with the front desk, the room itself is nice and clean. Toilets don't flush well. The pool was nice. Breakfast 6/10. 90% clientele I saw were white families. The location is nice. The parking lot is nice."
"Stayed here last week and had a good experience. They had a pool and hot tub. I went swimming 2-3 times. Pool itself was clean but really cold the second day. The ladder in the deep end is broke, wouldn't recommend if over 280 or elderly. Hot tub (can't believe I'm gonna say it) was way to hot. Hotel room was clean, I will say that the rooms aren't to insulated, I heard people a few times. Breakfast was good, front desk was great"
"I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! After having a bad psst experience with hotels near the twin cities this one made up for it. Our room was very clean and I, being traumatized from my last hotel, even flipped the mattresses up to check for bedbugs. There was none to be found THANKFULLY and my husband and I both commented on how everything in the room seemed brand new! The continental breakfast in the morning was also AWESOME and they had so many really great options. We were so impressed with our stay and the staff as they were very helpful when we had an issue connecting to the wifi when we first got there."
"Despite the stars, we would be unlikely to stay here again. It appears the walls are made of tissue paper, as we found the hotel very very LOUD. Constantly. At all hours. I could hear the plumbing everytime the room above me flushed (gross) and we could hear people running/walking/talking to the point it woke me up well after 11pm more than once in the 7 nights we’ve been here, including as I type this at 11:25pm. That said. The room was lovely, and the staff were nice. We had the two-bedroom suite and found it spacious and tidy. We found it odd there was no dish soap or detergent for the dishes and dishwasher but that’s minor. I appreciated the blackout shades in the rooms as well. No clocks, though. The location was nice, and we liked it being attached to Jimmy’s. We were also big fans of the breakfast choices - the pancake machine is fantastic. Overall, this hotel could be fantastic. But don’t stay here unless you sleep like the dead or can stand to sleep with either earphones or earplugs because otherwise, you won’t sleep."
