"Talk about a quiet, cute, lesser known inn on the lake. This place is a gem! Such spacious rooms with a full kitchen too. Pet friendly as well which was a huge plus for us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by owner Tim who was friendly and helpful with information about the town and best places to eat at. The inn is right across the street from the huge public beach. Talk about a prime location. This might be our new yearly vacation stay!"

"I stayed at the Lakes Inn recently and cannot say enough about what a great little motel it is! Tim (owner/manager) is SUPER easy to work with and a very nice guy. Check in/check out process was very easy and quick. The rooms are really nice with great amenities. Everything was clean and you cannot beat the amazing location right across the street from the beach and close to all the fun eating/drinking places on the beach. Oh and if you are staying in the summer, the coffee place located right there has the best coffee in town! Additional pro tip: The American Legion right down the street has the best breakfast in town for a very reasonable price! Enjoy the Lakes Inn, it is a hidden GEM in the Detroit Lakes area!!!"
