"First off the room furniture needs a facelift. Both pieces of furniture had holes in them. However, I will say the bathrooms were clean which is a must! I just didn't use the chair or couch just preferred to sit on the bed while in the room. Breakfast is advertised as American which by definition means there should be some type of eggs and meat. As you can see there was neither. In fact sadly no protein option. I think they need to change their marketing and signage to Continental since that was what they truly offered. There are lots of hotel options in Detroit Lakes so I'll probably check-out a diffetent option when I return next month."

"I am the unit commander of the youth program Young Marines. We spent the night last night at your hotel. Wow. We had a wonderful time. Great pool and breakfast and the customer service was amazing. "Conner checked us in and was very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. We are fully satisfied with the quality, convenience and price. Breakfast was much beyond our expectation. Hot waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit, bagels, juice, etc. We highly recommend this facility!"

"AmericInn is a very nice hotel. It feels very welcoming with warm colors and beautiful woodwork. The pool area is also beautiful with natural light coming in from outside. The room was very spacious, but the person I was with found hair in her bed. The bedding could have been cleaner and didn't look that clean to me. Because the bedding wasn't clean, I'm giving the hotel four stars instead of five. However, there are other benefits for staying here. One benefit is that it is close to the lake, parks, restaurants, and bars. Additionally, the pool is open until midnight. In the room, there was a line over the bathtub for hanging wet clothes, which was super useful. In the lobby, there is a leather couch and a TV for lounging. Breakfast was also good, and there were lots of options. I don't recommend the coffee. It tasted very old, which means the staff hadn't changed it for fresh coffee in a while. Overall, it's a great place to stay, though. I highly recommend it."
