"Most of the providers have been a positive experience however it is nearly impossible to get ahold of someone at the VA. I have been a patient for over 4 years and almost every single time my phone call either goes to voicemail or I am on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes. I am uncertain as to why phones are not answered in a more timely manner. I am hesitant to write negative reviews as I want to be mindful of what is said publicly. However, I have tried other avenues that have failed. An example of this is when I expressed concern last week to an employee they stated, "I know I get yelled at all day every day. The wait time is not my fault." While I don't believe anyone should be getting yelled at, their response is indicative that they either don't care and/or nothing is being done. I hope the VA reviews their system and makes necessary changes to ensure better care for veterans."

"I dread going into this VA when I have appointments. They neglected me and my care for years and all they ever do is want to blame your mental health. Meanwhile, now I can barely walk and have to do PT 3 times a week (which they delayed that treatment and I begged for almost a year to finally get in). I have done torts claims and of course the VA doesn’t want to own up to their negligence, gaslighting, malpractice and so much more. If you try to call, good luck hearing back from anyone. I’ve been ghosted multiple times. I have been laughed at when I went to the neurologist saying it was all in my head and finally got out to Essentia where they finally did the necessary testing and it isn’t IN MY HEAD. I can go on and on but us veterans deserve better and this VA is full of corrupt people who only care about money and their benefits. They don’t care for us veterans."

"I have been using the Fargo VA for the past 11 years and have always been treated with respect and given satisfactory care. Mostly it was only for my annual checkup and renewing my meds, but 2 years ago I had a more serious condition and met Dr. Rainwater in urology. He and his staff are top notch. They are the best of the best! I am recovering from my issue and just recently (1 day) saw the Dental clinic there. The Dental clinic is the most up to date I have ever experienced. Very professional and the staff is very helpful, friendly and ready to assist. And to top it off, I enjoy the Canteen. My Dad (a WW2 guy) had Doctored at the VA most of his life and lived to 95. Every time I would take him to Fargo, he would say lets eat at the Canteen!!"
