"I have been visiting and volunteering with this organization since 2019. Since then, it has grown and the dedicated group of people that run and maintain this treasure in North Fargo are unparalleled. The newest addition to the Japanese Garden is such an exciting adventure. Bravo to past, present and future neighbors and visitors that have helped us grow! To infinity and beyond!"
"A sleepy place on a Thursday in October, I could see the promise of a busy, vibrant location for spring or summer. A children's garden, playground and something that looked like a puppet wagon formed a large arc through the grounds, with a historic farm house dominating the left side of the acreage. A fenced dog park was at the far rear, opening onto the gardens but with separate parking. The front right housed an animal adoption house, which was built to coordinate with the historic house. The largest gardens, the agriculture exhibit, butterfly garden and the greenhouse, have small sitting areas that made me wish for a small picnic. Finally, there is a budding Japanese garden in the farthest reaches to the right of the parking lot. Every garden has education boards to read about the plants and their significance, or in some locations, tempt the children to smell and touch. Someplace to return to in the summer as it grows and flourishes."
"I love this place! Great place to walk and be in nature. Thank you for making this apart of the Fargo community. The edible garden and the children's garden was a wonderful learning portion. Can't say enough good things about this green space!"
"If you are looking for a date night or solitary low-key ramble - this botanical garden has it all. 1. You can set up for a photo-op at the Japanese-style gate that goes to nowhere (or possibly to some realm you have to have special training to see). 2. You can visit the edible garden (behind iron gates so wildlife doesn't eat it) 3. You can walk the flowers A-Z, and spot the hidden fairie garden in the trees. 4. You can sit in the wooded glen on a log bench or sketch on the iron table set under the branches of pine and cottonwood trees. Thank you Fargo for having places to discover like this!"
"Attended an event here. Awesome place to have available in Fargo and looking forward to visiting later this summer to see all the beautiful gardens. There is an Alphabet Garden which is a super cute idea obviously for kids and adults to see a variety of plantings in person! The garden could use a little TLC though as I saw quite a few weeds in competition with the flowers. Very exciting to see their future plans to expand: arboretum, Japanese garden, edible forest, etc!"
