"Dr Ukwe is a very kind and competent physician. However, his methods for performing that procedure which takes place when your little boy is a day or two old (so called for sake of googles requirements) is absolutely atrocious. My little boy has now seen a different pediatrician as well as pediatric urologist in hopes that he will heal from this somewhat normally and be able to maintain proper function. Both of these physicians were appalled that a pediatrician could intentionally do this to an infant. A few days after the procedure Dr Ukwes only response was “this is perfectly routine”. In our research since, we have spoke with other parents as well as nurses and this is apparently how he always does them! I’m shocked there hasn’t been some kind of lawsuit yet. Again, he seems very kind and is likely a great pediatrician. But I would beg you to have a different physician perform this procedure on your newborn little boy or he will possibly never be the same."
