"I felt like she really did not care about my needs, or requests. I had a bad experience w a miscarriage at another place, and was referred to her by someone. I was expecting it to be a better experience. But it was not. I had alot of unexpected inconveniences during my pregnancy, and I definitely felt like that, seeing this Dr. The birthing process wasn't as bad, but I felt like I was DX incorrectly, & discriminated against (WRMC). I had a baby and was told after that I had to have a referral to be seen again. So I had a baby then nvr had a physical f/u for over a yr. OVER ALL I was not happy here, or treated well."
"I don’t usually see Dr. Smith but she had been the doctor on call at one of my prenatal appointments. I was 37 weeks and 5 days. I had consented to a cervical check but received a membrane sweep without my consent or knowledge of what to expect. Next thing I knew, I was in labor. I was in excruciating pain when Dr. Smith checked me and practically jumped back on the table but that did not stop her from continuing. She admitted me and said I was in labor which did not make any sense to me as I was not having a complications or indications of labor prior to my appointment that day. I went to the bathroom where I found that I had filled the toilet bowl completely with blood and it was not stopping. I told the nurse and Dr. Smith and was told it was normal. Nothing about that experience was normal and I should not have gone into labor that day. I would also like to mention that when I gave birth, my son had a scratch on his head that I believe was a result of the membrane sweep that I did not consent to. The birthing experience with Dr. Smith wasn’t any better. It was not a comforting space to be in. She was very cold and distant through all of it. Bringing your baby into the world is supposed to be a beautiful experience and all it was for me was traumatizing."
"I had a great experience at HerHealth for an annual visit. Dr. Smith listened to my concerns and addressed them. She also talked me through the exam and explained everything that she was doing. I appreciated that it was expedient and I was in and out within an hour. I was sort of surprised because based on the other reviews on Google, I anticipated having a mediocre at best experience. While this does seem to be a high volume practice (there were maybe 20 people in the waiting room when I first got there), I was called back pretty quickly."
"Dr. Smith was extremely...uncaring is the word that comes to mind. She was pretty distant and cold during our appointments. She didn't seem to care at all about me during my pregnancy and answered almost every single one of my questions with "that's normal" which, for a first time mom who is anxious about her pregnancy, was not at all a comfort. I felt increasingly like live stock that's being herded through the system as fast as possible. She doesn't have a great bedside manner either. At my birth, I also received an episiotomy without explanation as to why (and there may have been a very good reason, she just didn't explain!). And when she was sewing me up, I could feel the stitches being made and voiced my pain and discomfort but she just continued on without seeming to care at all. I was very disappointed with my experience with her."
"Dr. Smith was so gentle, kind, and reassuring for my first "lady doctor" visit. She was both very professional and warm, making sure I knew what was happening and that I had the right to stop any of the procedures at any time if I felt uncomfortable, but also not droning on for a long time and letting my anxiety get worse. She took the time to care about me as a person and patient, making sure I knew my treatment options and giving me samples and coupons, more concerned with making sure I was fully taken good care of rather than hurrying along to the next person. My experience was you would want to feel safe and in very competent hands when you are vulnerable. I have recommended her to all my friends and plan to use her as my OBGYN forever!"
