"I just had an apt with them. Could not even see my original dr. First off. Checking in is hell. I didn’t feel welcome at all. Front staff need lesson on customer care. Exiting I had to stand there 15 mint while who knows what she is doing with my chart and computer screw up. I just had knee surgery. And told her so no was ignored. Now my knee is super swollen. All you can see is the APRN now I am not sure the heart monitor is out on correctly just because I am younger then 70 doesn’t mean I don’t need help"
"Scheduled appointment and took almost 3 months to finally get in there. During that 3 month wait I was sent from work to the ER. The ER doc told me to call Walker and let them know, which I did. Their response was OK, but we can’t move your appointment up. The ER prescribed me something, and Walker said they’d call in a refill for me, but never did. When I did finally get in there they started scheduling all these expensive tests/procedures. The Friday before a scheduled procedure they called me to “pre-register” by verifying all my obvious information. Name, phone address, then finally said this procedure will cost you $x,xxx.xx after insurance, would you like to make a payment on that? I cancelled that appointment during that same call, got a referral from my PCP to another heart clinic, was seen two days later, and left with a prescription. My experience with Walker Heart left me with the impression that they’re more concerned with how much $$$,$$$.$$ they can make, and less concerned about the actual care they provide. No interest in ever going back there, and would never recommend them to anyone."
"My mother has been rescheduled twice now! The first time, they didn't even contact us to inform us that the doctor was out of the office, and the second time, they called and canceled the day of, after I had taken a day off to take her. I asked why they rescheduled again, and once again, the doctor was out. I understand things happen, but no other doctors are able to see these patients? And the earliest they could see her again is in December, horrible service!"
"I am new to this clinic haven't even got my first appointment and now i see why. They DO NOT return phone calls and you cant get through to them, but if you push 3 for billing someone answers there EVERYTIME to take your $ but they sure don't give a damn about scheduling patients for appointments and this is a HEART clinic. Like hello, hearts don't wait on these overpaid doctors with terrible bedside manner and could care a less everything's about money. Needless to say I will not be going here, and don't bother replying with the same if you would like to discuss further email this email you wont respond to. READ THE REVIEWS people don't go here. Try to find someone who will actually care....Good luck!"
"I am a heart patient now for 2 years. I have been going to the Walker Heart Institute every since my bypass surgery. I have never seen the doctor on the 1st scheduled appointment. I am always rescheduled up to 3 times before getting in. I went to my appointment today only to find my doctor sick and they needed to reschedule my for a 2nd time. This appointment was already a reschedule. All of this is my doctor's office rescheduling not me. This appointment they changed by letter and told me to call if I didn't want that particular appointment. I missed work to find out that I will have to miss work again when they feel up to seeing me. I want a new cardiologist."
