"The latest effort to find a qualified and responsible General Practitioner! It was off to a bad start. I filled out the online form and got an email back. The response said they would contact me about setting an appointment. Two weeks later nothing. Turns out the woman making appointments was out for the funeral and morning of her sister. Well. I'm sorry. She sets an appointment over the course of a half dozen emails. Then one more to reset the appointment because she gave me a time after they are closed for the day. I go in because I don't have a printer for the new patient forms. And I wanted to make sure I actually had an appointment. They gave me the forms and suggested I make an extra trip so they can get the paper work scanned. So I make the extra trip, I brought my cards and ID as suggested, they didn't take them. Go in for my appointment. They lost my intake forms and ask me to fill them out again. I gave a rather extensive history and now 10 minutes before my appointment???? They had made me take an extra trip and already provided the information. Where was the PERSONAL information I ALREADY provided!?! Then the assistant brings me in and checks my weight and blood pressure. I explain my blood pressure is high because I'm in public and in a new environment. I don't break down (again for another new person) the history I've experience with incompetent office help and med students elsewhere. (History is repeating itself.) She says they found the information I provided. No. They didn't. She's starting to make notes on a form of some other client with the same name. Common name. They took it as the correct one without verifying. The student nurse gets my history condensed into 20-30 minutes including tears. The doctor I am excited to see was trained in San Francisco so I make the mistake (not the first time) of thinking she's informed. My history and current information not taken into account on her website summary of my current condition. Misinforming insurance, etc. could have me homeless ... or hospitalized. Worse? They send me for blood work. I'm a bit overcome by it all. And I go. Only to realize that I did not fast and they did not tell me to fast. And oh well. The next entry is that my labs are fine. Then a few days later they get some other information my numbers are pretty scary because as I informed them, I needed a 2nd set of labs because I ate that afternoon! On deaf ears of course, they are ready to prescribe me blood pressure med.s and insulin. Guess they are mixing up clients with similar names again. Or was it because I was not told to fast for the blood panel? Glad that I know the latest is wrong or I'd be in a panic. Don't think I'll return. Odds are I have another 5-10 years left. Subject to a surprising alteration in possibilities given my genetics."
