Nail Bar and Spa

"I've been going to Nail Bar and Spa off and on for almost 7 years now. Some good experiences, some not so great but never bad enough to make me write a bad review. Anyways, I wanted to try out Gel X nails for the first time for my birthday nails. I was told while making my appointment that my lady was so skilled and I'd be so happy with her. When I got there, she first tried to convince me not to get Gel X because "they don't last as long" which isn't true, they are supposed to last longer. So we proceeded... They look horrible. $62 and tip, paying more than acrylics for them to look so much worse than any full acrylic set I've gotten. I'm so sad."

"I’ll be honest, I was going here for over 2 years. Absolutely loved who my nail tech was, she was out the day I was scheduled to come in and I needed a fill badly before I left for a work trip. What really did me over was my last set. I don’t have photos, I was so frustrated and embarrassed by how they looked. I am pretty sure the nail tech was Kim, and she didn’t seem to have a care in the world with my nails. During the appointment, the nail drill would constantly bump the skin around my nail causing cuts all around my fingers. When she was applying the dip, she never cleaned up the edges. This caused lifting right away. I also had build up from all the dust under my nails that I tried to clean up after the appointment but couldn’t because it had already set and wasn’t coming off. Needless to say, out of the 2 years I have been going to nail bar and spa this was easily the worst experience I’ve ever had."

"Went in for a classic gel pedicure. Technician did not focus on the task at hand & was chatting with other technicians. I believe in a fun & positive work environment, but not at the expense of paying customers. Poor service. Photos attached shows the quality of work & what I pulled out of my big toe."

"Edit: I went into the store today thinking I had an appointment for a pedicure so they sent me up with a tub and my feet were already in it when they came to me telling me there was a problem. I didn't actually have an appointment and they couldn't take me. Fine okay. No worries at at. So sorry. She turned around and left. I'm left sitting there soaking wet feet to stick Into my shoes and leave. Humiliated not only because of my own mistake but for their treatment of me. I'm disappointed and will not be going back again. Very nice nail techs. Accommodating and very gentle with my hands and feet. Got the works with a full set (gel) lovely as usual."

"I had dip fingernails done the last time and they look great. But the technician didn't have me wash my hands first, then dipped my nails into a container that I'm sure many other unwashed fingers had been in and even when she used a smaller tray for dipping put the remaining powder back into a container. She also somehow cut my pinky cuticle (did not trim cuticles, though) and my ring finger cuticle. I'm hoping I didn't catch anything and won't be going back."
