"This place gets packed during weekend evenings, and for a good reason; great service and fantastic steaks - make a reservation if you're dining over the weekend. I love going for lunch (dinner menu is also available). In the pic is my favorite go-to lunch: Coffee crusted sirloin with caramelized shallot demi and mashed potatoes."
"First visit here was phenomenal. French onion soup, mushrooms, brownie all were excellent. Cowboy ribeye was cooked at perfect medium rare. 2nd visit was on a Friday. Even though they were extremely busy that should not be an excuse for the drop in quality. The chocolate cake & brussels sprouts were decent. The porterhouse was really disappointing. While it did have a pink center as a medium rare is supposed to have there was no char on the steak. I thought it was pan seared but was told it was indeed put in the broiler but was told that it was taken out very quickly since they wanted to make sure it was within the 130-135 Fahrenheit I had strictly mentioned. It just shows the chef was incompetent-it's possible to prepare a steak with the perfect amount of char & still achieve a temperature between 130-135 Fahrenheit. The service & atmosphere are great but not sure if they can't cook a perfect steak there is a point of returning. Update: Decided to give this place another go. My decision was justified as the boneless ribeye was a perfect medium rare with the right amount of char & the creme brulee was delectable. Creamed spinach was okay."
"Been to Pittsburgh Blue a handful of times, but this was the first time at the Edina location. Great service, lovely restaurant. Decided to go out of my comfort zone of steak and get a lobster roll (my first time eating lobster ever). Very underwhelming, wouldn’t recommend it. Fries were divine. Also ordered the loaded mash potatoes, but didn’t get a chance to take a bite so I took them home. Cheesecake with strawberries is a must!"
"Made a reservation the day of for lunch and it was a breeze! Parking at the Galleria is always a challenge as it is busy and spots are usually full. When we got there we were immediately greeted and sat down in a booth. The atmosphere is not quiet but also not loud where you can't carry on a conversation with your normal voice levels. We started with the garlic topped bread with soft butter on the side. It comes out warm and was a delicious start to our lunch. I ordered the coffee crusted sirloin with mashed potatoes and it was perfectly cooked to my liking. Medium rare and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were good too, not too lumpy. Both together the lunch portion was more than enough food IMHO. My wife ordered a salad and a bowl of the lobster chowder. Of course I had a bit of that and it was also delicious. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I am taking one star off due to the water glass that I was served had hints of lipstick on the rim. It would be kind of hard to see when filling in a darker room, but when drinking it, there were noticeable red spots. The wait staff replaced the glass with another and apologized. All that said, the minor issue with the glass would not stop me from recommending the Pittsburgh Blue. I will be coming back for another delicious meal!"
