"I did not have the pleasure of staying at this hotel. However, I had a significant issue that nobody at Marriott or the Resort Department could help me with. Out of exacerbation I called the hotel directly and spoke to Alex the Front Desk Manager. He resolved the issue, BTW he had no real obligation to, promptly. "The Coachella Valley, with its paintbrush strokes of sun-baked mountains and endless stretches of ochre plains, wraps Palm Desert, Palm Spring like a warm embrace. Even the air carries a melody of possibility, hinting at vibrant hikes, golf course symphonies, and evenings painted with desert sunsets. It was here, nestled amidst this beauty, that we discovered the Westin Desert Willow Villas – an oasis of comfort and delight for our family. Our villa was more than just a room; it was a haven. Fully equipped with a kitchen stocked like a chef's pantry, it allowed us to whip up feasts enjoyed on a balcony overlooking swaying palm trees and emerald pools. Speaking of pools, there were three! Sun-soaked sanctuaries of laughter, complete with a thrilling 85-degree slide that sent our kids into squeals of pure joy. Evenings were spent soaking in the Jacuzzi beneath a blanket of stars, trading whispers about the day's adventures. One detail that truly charmed us was the educational touch woven into the landscape. Desert plants, with their spiky resilience and sun-kissed beauty, were tagged and identified, transforming the grounds into a living botany lesson. Like “Orange Jubilee”, an Espalier variety of the yellow trumpet bush, that will bloom nearly all year long, an irresistible plant to bees and hummingbirds. An avid gardener could spend hours soaking up the desert flora, finding inspiration for their own heat-loving haven back home. While a bed-and-breakfast option would have been the cherry on top, the convenience of a fully equipped kitchen (late-night pancake cravings, anyone?) more than compensated. It was a small trade-off for the freedom and flexibility we enjoyed. In the end, the Westin Desert Willow Villas wasn't just a place to stay – it was an experience. We left with sand-dusted memories of splashing in sparkling pools, watching our kids conquer the water slide, and learning the secrets of the desert's tenacious flora. This is a place we'll be back to, drawn by the magic of the setting, the comfort of the villas, and the endless whispers of adventure that seem to dance on the desert breeze. "We’ve been staying few weeks in the villa for past 4 years to take a break from PNW wet/cool weather. This year we had a surprise on their activities, like pickle ball socials, beer tasting, mystery drink and wine tasting social plus daily bingo game at poolside. All activities are complimentary, free! The staff are friendly and welcoming; the surrounding golf courses are manicured to perfection. You will enjoy the scenery regardless you are golfing or not. The resort has free shuttle service and four pools to choose from. This place has become our winter home away from home. Thumbs up!"
