"My man and I went on looking to adopt a ferret they were all out. We were informed to look online before coming in. Staff was friendly and the environment was welcoming. It's a clean and nice place. We walked in and were able to look around freely without feeling smothered. So many animals and options we don't know the process but will be timing in to try."
"I adopted my beautiful fur baby from them and could not be more thankful. the process of adopting a dog is a long one so i suggest going the afternoon before, looking through the kennels and finding a few pups you like. then going the minute they open the next day to inquire about the ones you liked. you will be waiting, but they don’t do yard or landlord checks like other shelters so it does make the process easier. we waited an hour in line to meet our dog, then another 2 hours after for a background check. also keep in mind if your dog is not spayed/neutered they will have to stay an extra night or 2 for the procedure. that being said, our dog had been in the shelter for about a month so all of his fees were waived, they gave us a coupon for a free vet visit, they covered his neutering procedure, and all of the meds following up. the process is easy just a bit time consuming but totally worth it. if you’re looking to adopt a pet, do it here, everyone was friendly, and they have a dog or cat or hamster or turtle for everyone! just be patient and understanding, this is a shelter, there’s a high volume of pets coming through and a lot going on, have open expectations and trust the process but we were able to give our dog a forever home and i could not be more thankful!!"
"I understand they are short staffed but would be great if a system was put in place to help staff out especially with people interested in adopting. I adopted my pup back in March 2023 with no issues was there early before they opened and the process took about an hour overall. When I went back in October to see if I could get another pup the process changed and just to be able to see a pup I was interested in took about two hours. I was also 7th in line and was waiting before the center was open. Other than the waiting I do appreciate the services the shelter offers. I have used the vaccine clinic for my senior dog and it was easy to set an appointment and my appointment went smoothly. I always recommend adopting from a shelter and animal foundation has lots of furry friends looking for a furever home."
"Very nice facility but could use a little more organization. We filled out the fostering application and got approved. Emails indicated we should come in and interact with the animals we were interested in. Apparently, that is not the case. No direction as to what to do. However, we made a connection with an adorable Chihuahua and adopted her. She is fantastic and she'll live the rest of her life living the best life we can give her."
"We have 2 beautiful kittens we got from there and we were highly impressed with there animals and the way they took care of them wayyyyyy more dogs that need a new home so anyone looking there is a huge assortment of dogs id be surprised if you didn't find one..only thing I think they could do better would be to make the adoption process take wayyyyyy less time and focus more on that than anything I seen a few people leave because the wait was so long really could have been an animal going home that day that needed a forever home instead they may have had to wait another day"
