"The class sizes are small which is wonderful! Teachers enjoy teaching at this school. Typical children really benefit from opportunities to grow with one on one time teachers are able to give. For special needs children, this school is a miracle. Every piece of equipment you can imagine, adapted playground with wheel chair swings. Each one of the adults involved with the special needs unit is amazing. The IEPS are never hostile. It really feels like a team. There is more "what can we do to support your child" than " no we can't do that" for the first time in forever I actually feel my kids are in good hands. Also this school still says the pledge!"

"Canyon Elementary has been a huge blessing to our family. I now have a 4th grader and a kindergartener at Canyon. My other daughter promoted last year to 9th grade from Canyon The teachers are amazing as well as the administration even down to the office ladies. Oh and the nurses are so kind and always has my child's well being in mind. There are many ways to get involved as a parent all you have to do is ask. The other parents are great too. I just can't say enough about this school. We are very blessed to be able to attend a school that cares about each and every child."

"We've been a Canyon family for 5 years. Although, all of the teachers have been great, it seems like this year the teachers are the best! My 6th grade student LOVES going to school! Words like personal goals, personal best, personal growth are used and it has made a difference on how my 6th grader looks at herself. She's confident! She was also excited to learn how to properly take notes... no big deal for us.... but for her, it earned her a 100% on a test! Which was her personal best! The whole class and staff celebrated her achievement! The principal called me to share the awesome news! Canyon Elementary is a small school, but has a big heart! I'm proud to be a part of it!"

"I've spent every day here for 9 years, it was worth sticking around for. I have watched canyon grow and I have grown with it as a person. The staff and teachers try so hard everyday to make sure every student has what they need to be successful at canyon. My first day of school and last days of school will be here and I'm so glad I got to make as many memories and friend here as I did."

"I was told at the beginning of the year they would set my son up with a buddy so far there's no buddy! I pulled him from his old school hoping that I was taking him to a better one. Not too sure so far I have communicated with the front office and his teacher and nobody is communicating back with me or even trying my son comes home crying everyday because kids are mean to him he tries and nobody is willing to say hi or accept him and no one there is doing anything about it I'm not sure what to do. So far I feel like they seem like a family that we just don't fit in at"
