"I would like to say that I am surprised to see Lora's name pop up in a few negative reviews, but the truth is...I am not. My fiancée and I came in to return a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses that I purhased from another location a few months back. I explained that I have multiple pairs of these same style glasses however I noticed that these ones were "Made in China" unlike my other ones "Made in Italy" and the poor build quality was obvious. I had only worn these once, and I still had the original bag, receipt, and the cleaning cloth wrapped and unused. Prior to arrival I looked up Sunglass Hut's return policy and on their corporate website it states that returns/exchanges may be honored up to 90 days after purchase as long as in original condition. With that in mind I spoke with "Lora" and she rudely said "not everything you read on the internet is true." WHAT?! I stated once again that this is on the corporate website not some forum or message board... and she replied again "don't believe everything you read on the internet." She had no interest in looking at the website I had pulled up for her or offering any alternative solution and provide any sort of customer service. On top of that, she made a follow up comment rudely saying "the receipt states 30 days for returns and she agrees that 30 days was plenty of time for me to decide whether or not I liked them." My fiancée and I looked at each other appalled and I told Lora I didn't ask for her opinion, thought I bit my tongue in wanting to say more... I was over here, I took my bag and left disgusted. Later that week, I took my unwanted sunglasses to the Chandler Fashion Square later to see if they could offer me a solution. I explained briefly the quality issue of the sunglasses, the associate said the 30 days was a non issue and offered me a full refund after inspecting the sunglasses were in perfect, original condition. To my surprise the computer did not even throw an error code after he scanned the receipt to initiate the return being greater than 30 days just showing that Lora did not care to try or offer a solution for even store credit which I would have taken.. Lora lacks professionalism and holds ZERO customer service skills.."
"One of the worst shopping experiences I’ve had so far. Didn’t end up buying anything because Lora was extremely rude and disrespectful during my visit. I had intended on making a purchase of at least one pair, if not more when I entered the store. But after a few brief but horribly passive-aggressive interactions with Lora I decided I would not want to spend money there. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here. They do not value your business as this person has apparently been here for some time and not been let go yet (according to other reviews). I went a few stores down to Warby Parker and had a great experience there with a welcoming associate, and some stickers and a lollipop for my daughter. The exact opposite experience of what I had at Sunglass Hut."
"Such a helpful team every time I go in. I shop there a few times a year and love seeing familiar faces. The store manager Lora knows all these little facts about sunglasses I always know I made the right choice. She's been my sunglass lady for years."
"Usually "Be right back" is 5-10 minutes. Been standing here for 30. Started reading reviews and apparently this is a common occurrence. Whoever is doing this shouldn't have a job anymore. What a joke."
"BUYER BEWARE!!! I just purchased a new pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses from here for $165.00 on April 21st (two weeks ago). Yesterday, the screw that connects the frame to keep the lens in place fell out, so the lens won’t stay in the frame. Despite my efforts to search for it, the screw is nowhere to be found because it is so tiny. I stopped by Sunglass Hut today (with my receipt) to exchange them. After explaining to the store manager what happened and that I’d like to exchange them for a new pair, she responded by asking me if I wanted to use my “50% off to buy a new pair”. I said, “I’m not sure what you are talking about. I just bought these two weeks ago and they are clearly defective if screws are already falling out, so I’d like to exchange them”. She said, “So you brought them in broken and you think that is our fault?” 1. Rude. 2. Ummmm, yes. Yes I do. Sunglass Hut sold me a defective pair. I’ve owned Ray-Bans for years and they normally last forever. It is why I have always purchased them over other brands. I just spent $165 on a new pair that didn’t even last two weeks. If screws are already falling out, THEY ARE DEFECTIVE. I’ve worn them maybe a handful of times and they are always kept in their case when not on my face. So yes, I expect them to be exchanged or repaired or something. Nope. The manager’s only solution was that I had to spend more money to buy a new pair and telling me that it was my fault that the screw had already fallen out. After realizing she was going to be of absolutely no help, I told her to give me the number to corporate and left the store utterly astounded by her behavior. Rather than being greedy and trying to make a sale, the manager should have first mentioned to me that Ray-Ban covers their glasses for two years and that I could file a claim with Sunglass Hut's corporate office, which I only found out after calling them. At least there is a solution, but now I am going to be without sunglasses for weeks while I go through the claims process. In any case, I will never purchase anything from Sunglass Hut again."
