"Don & Jan are great. The care they have for horses is obvious. I have kept my mare, Chimera, here for years."
"Knowledgeable and caring people who love horses and treat all animals with love. Don is a fantastic horse trainer and Jan is fantastic with our horses. We feel so fortunate to have met them. Thank you so much to both of them!"
"If you want someone that's going to disregard you as an owner and thinks that she knows everything and that will throw a tantrum when you seek professional guidance rather than just take her word then this is the place for you. If you are not experienced, she will make fun of you and try to publically humiliate you in front if other boarders. If you want to have your peaceful enjoyment with your horse interrupted by a crazy lady going on tangents and Rants about the other families that board at her facility, come to the bird Ranch. The woman Jan that runs the show here put my horses Health at risk. If you don't have her word or promises documented on paper you cannot rely on her. There was another boarder that didn't want her horse fed treats because of a possible illness, and Jan took matters into her own hand and fed the horse treats of mine stating that the horses owner didn't know what she was talking about and knows nothing. She will not respect your wishes when you are not there. She is a money-hungry wench with a mental problem that can't control herself. This woman verbally attacked me in front of my minor because I inquired with a professional veterinarian instead of taking her opinion when it comes to my horses health. Jan was insisting on what not only my veterinarian but multiple professionals claimed to be "unnecessary treatment" for what the problem at hand was and then she attacked me again in front of a 70 plus year old man who came to help me administer medication. She is so out of control that I had to show up with police officers to remove my horse from her property safely . She truly has no business working with the public. It is misery hidden behind a beautiful property. It's cheap and as they say you get what you pay for. My advice to her is she needs to do what she's paid for and leave the boarders to tend to their horses in the responsible way horse owner should"
"I have boarded my horses here for 10+ years and have nothing but fabulous things to say about the care and attention they recieve! I have two older mares and they are more than adequately turned out. I live in Tempe and do not move my girls because of the care they recieve at The Bird Ranch. The "rules" others have objected to are no more than a common courtesy for those that reside on the premises. I have never been denied acces to the property when I have properly requested access. No barn drama here. Those that indulge in such ridiculous behavior move on quickly and for that I am grateful. Superior care, kindness and compassion."
"For 25 years I have bordered horses in a variety of areas. This is by far the best place I have ever been. The level of care is beyond my expatation. My horse has learned how to be a horse in a small herd and is very happy. I would recommend The Bird Ranch to anyone who wants superior service at an excellent value. Jan really cares about the animals under her care. I find the rules and time restrictions to be fair and very understandable. I have observed that if a horse is not put out with the herd there is a very good reason for it, ie: if a horse is to aggressive it would be put out separately for the safety of other horses."
