"Pharmacy is great. It’s the website that doesn’t work and makes it difficult to monitor meds."
"Shanna the Customer Service Manager should not be in Customer Service. She is very rude. I don't mind being told something is priced wrong if it's done in a polite way but when you don't even address me directly but talk to the cashier repeatedly saying "it's OBVIOUSLY not the correct price" you sound very condescending. No apology, didn't even acknowledge us but acted like it was my fault....sorry if your employee priced the item wrong that's not MY fault.... I'll go back to Fry's like I should have done to begin with."
"I absolutely LOVE Scott the pharmacist! He is by far the NICEST and MOST PROFESSIONAL MAN PERIOD!! I LOVE SAFEWAY PHARMACY WITH SCOTT!! I wouldn't go anywhere else. He KNOWS people by their first names and genuinely cares about his customers without a doubt!! DONT EVER LET SCOTT GO....MY BIGGEST ADVICE TO U SAFEWAY!! I ADORE THAT MAN!!"
"Chris is the most unprofessional and least helpful person at this pharmacy location. I attempted picking up a prescription on Friday night and he attempted to tell me to wait until Monday, which due to system limitations is not an option; despite him insisting that it is. When I inquired about why my prescription wasn’t available he stated “it’s been in our phone queue since the 6th (today is the 10th) but we haven’t checked it because we’ve been too busy”… When inquiring about what I can do to prevent this experience in the future Chris stated “ummm… just bother us more frequently, I guess?”… Since when is it the consumers responsibility to ensure the pharmastist is doing their job? Chris also stated he couldn’t help me tonight because the other pharmacies were already closed, however, a quick google search shows a pharmacy within six miles that’s still open for another hour. Instead of being proactively helpful, he advised for me to call him again tomorrow an hour after they open to sort out this mess? Hopefully someone can help this man with some on the job training to ensure he knows to check all queues for all precriptions."
"My girlfriend got her wisdom teeth out today and was given prescriptions for antibiotics and pain meds. We stopped at a pharmacy to have them filled and with her being still woozy, it's a big production to even just park the car and get her out and walk inside, find the pharmacy counter and whatnot. We do all that just to be told that they are out of the pain meds. So we decide to call pharmacies in the area to make sure they have the meds before driving to each one and repeating the whole process. We call the Safeway pharmacy and before we can even ask a question, they start asking for personal information such as birthdate and phone number etc. My girlfriend can barely talk with all the bloody gauze in her mouth so I take the phone and try to explain that we just want to know if they are able to fill our prescription before we drive all the way over there and shuffle inside. The lady just says she'll transfer me to the pharmacist. Chris Vanhove was the pharmacist there and he literally just picked up the phone and said I won't give that information over the phone. I was a little taken aback but again explained that we had prescriptions and just wanted to make sure they were able to fill them. He again just rudely said he won't give any information over the phone. When I asked why that was, he became even more rude and belligerent and said I told you I won't give that information over the phone ok? He then just hung up on me. He could have explained that it was company policy for a variety of reasons, he could have apologized for the inconvenience, but there was nothing even remotely resembling appropriate customer service. Being a RN, I understand that their is an "opioid epidemic" and that some people abuse medications, but that doesn't mean that you have to be rude and treat everyone like a criminal, you are still in a customer service industry. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pharmacy. Find somewhere that treats their patients with compassion rather than hostility."
