"I live close by and been here multiple times and every time I come, the employees are very rude. I understand it’s goodwill but man, while I was walking around shopping, the lady restocking kept bumping into my bag multiple times. I normally don’t mind as I understand work sucks and they just wanna get out of there but you still work in a customer service environment. I decided to check out and the cashier was very dozed out. I’m not sure if she was super tired or intoxicated. She didn’t greet me, I had to make eye contact multiple times and start unhanging my own items. Once I paid, I had to ask if she could give me my receipt as she forgot and then forgot to bag my items. I get it if it was one or two items, don’t bag them. If you would like to be bumped multiple times by staff and have a slow experience at check out, come to this goodwill."
"They don't have try on rooms but we were told they had a 7 day return policy, I asked questions like Is that for every department? And does it count even on things that are for sale and they said yes, no problem is easy just buy everything you want to try on and take it home to do it and bring back what doesn't fit. They seemed very friendly. I even talked about the fact that 7 days wouldn't be a problem because I'm only going to be here for 4 more. Because I live in Kansas Then we talked about living in kansas a bit. Then, the next day, when I try to return it, they won't put the money back on my credit card they only do a gift card to their goodwill. I'm so upset, so now instead of doing a quick return and going to spend the day with my daughter as I planned we are needing to spend $77 on stuff from good will that we dont need when we really need that money to be put toward food and gas, talk about stealing money from the poor not helping end poverty as their mission states."
"This location is much better than others. Large selection of mens casual clothes. Store is clean & well lit. The staff here are attentive and friendly. I think because of this stores location, they might getting a little bit nicer donations. I have purchased many golf shirts here. Big selection of movies & books. I even find video game carts here. I’ve purchased golf clubs here also."
"I've never had a worse experience anywhere. I came to purchase some clothes as I needed new dress pants. We walked into the store, and perused for roughly an hour. During this time, we saw two or three families with small children come in (this will be relevant later). We found multiple sets of clothing which may fit me, but we weren't sure as many of them didn't have the full sizes (ex. pants said 32 but didn't say the length). This required us to try them, which I planned to do anyways. After we walked to the changing rooms, all of them had printed signs notifying us that the changing rooms were closed. They were completely filled with random garbage. We still had to try the clothes on to make sure they fit, so we proceeded to the restrooms. I proceeded to try on a pair of pants, and a shirt. One of the employees walked in, and notified me I was not allowed to have merchandise in the restroom. I told him it was not a problem, and would be happy to try them on elsewhere if they could let me try them on in the dressing room. He grabbed all the clothing, and walked out of the restroom... including my shirt. He let me know he would look into a dressing room, which I thanked him for. And now folks, for the STAR of the hour. The manager came to speak with me, miss Amanda. Amanda informed me that the dressing rooms were currently closed, to which I told her I understand, but need a place to change. She suggested I change in front of the dressing rooms, which is in plain view of all who came by. I told her there was no reason for me to strip in front of the whole store just so I could make sure the clothes fit, as I knew I could not return them when I purchased them. Amanda told me I would be allowed to return them for my money back if I brought them back within 7 days, with the tags, and the receipt. This seemed like a fair enough solution. She said to me that bringing clothes into the restroom is stealing, which I replied I had not stolen, I just need a place to try these clothes on to make sure they fit. Her solution? BACK TO STRIPPING IN FRONT OF CHILDREN FOLKS! I'm not kidding 2 or 3 times she suggested I just take my clothes off in front of the store. She reinforced that she would call the cops should I use the restroom to change. Look, I get it. You don't want people changing in the bathroom, but suggesting that they strip in front of children is NOT a solution. Perhaps cleaning the garbage out of the changing rooms would be a better solution. I found 2 or three pants which fit, and moved on. At checkout, I confirmed that I would be able to get my money back if I brought them back with the stipulations she requested of me. She THEN informed me I would not get my money back, but instead would get store credit. I told her that this was absolutely ludicrous. That I am purchasing clothing which I don't know if it will fit or not, and that if I return it I have no way to get the money back on the purchase like she promised. She then let me know the real reason that the changing rooms were closed was due to a high volume of stealing, and invited me AGAIN to change in front of the store. I have never felt more unheard, uncared for, and completely lied to by the staff. I will be making a call to Goodwill customer support to escalate the issue that a manager encouraged me multiple times to strip in front of children. Go anywhere else."
