"I am very surprised that this "Christian" establishment is still in business. After the extreme nepotism shown by its head pastor that drove a lot of the parishioners, and most of the families of students attending the school away. I am surprised this church hasn't gone into bankruptcy. We individuals closest to the situation raised our eyebrows and knew their was much more going on behind the scenes when the tables were flipped on us. Now the church has conveniently changed it's name and multiple grades are "blended" because they don't have a high enough student to teacher ratio. It it unfortunate that a 24 year old boy with a business degree and no educational background took over a school."
"All the teachers we have had have been great to our daughter and she enjoys going daily. What more can a parent ask for then to have child that likes going to school/daycare and feels comfortable and safe with everyone."
"My kids (6 & 1) have been here for four months now and LOVE IT!!! We love it sooo much that my son will be attending Palms for 2nd grade. The teachers here obviously love what they do and care about the children. The teachers and office staff are always happy and smiling - and so are the kids. The daily communication with parents is far better than other places. The food is fresh, well-made and tasty - my kids actually enjoy it! :-) My *only* complaint (not worth rating less stars) is that they do not offer higher grade levels so my 14yr old can attend as well."
"I've taken my daughter out of 2 previous daycares due to neglect by staff and/or unsanitary conditions. From the minute I took my daughter to look at this preschool I knew this would be her new home away from home. She immediately took to the staff here and felt comfortable, which in turn made me feel comfortable with them. She has been going there for nearly a year now and has a smile on her face everyday I pick her up. Her teachers seem to genuinely care for her and obviously work with her because she comes home all the time with something new she's learned. It's nice to know that her daycare works with her almost as much as I do at home. The place always seems well kept and clean and honestly I've yet to feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. Great school and good staff and my daughter is happy....can't ask much more from a daycare provider. I'd recommend them anyday J.P."
"I liked the idea that this childcare declares itself a Christian daycare. I applied for a job there (despite being over qualified with more experience and qualifications than all the 'teachers' there put together - it was convenient for me and my child to go there), but declined, because they wouldnt offer me free childcare for my daughter, let alone a reduction in the fees, if I worked there. Meaning Id be working for nothing. But this was not the main deciding issue regarding the place. When I went to apply for the position, the children I saw didnt look too happy. They seemed to be overly dominated by the teachers and assistants I saw taking them all to the restroom. One child dared to move his head, whilst sitting in line waiting and he was sharply shouted at (like the assistant was exerting her limited power over these poor children). Having walked past the infrant room, I noticed that the rooms were not overly decorated with displays and artwork. There wasnt hardly any quality big toys/playsets, to me the room looked almost bare, white, filing cabinets to one side and a set of tables in the middle of the room and a few cheap (possibly yard sale quality) small hand size toys scattered on the floor. Another room, children were standiing around a table, again the room looked bare of displays and colour, the teacher had her back turned on the children sitting at her desk doing something other than supervising the children as they had their fingers in dough and flour (going all over the place). For me, my fond memories of elementary school was a warm, friendly environment, with colour everywhere, displays of childrens work, reading corners, learning materials and ABC's around the room. This place didnt look anything like what I feel a good kindergarten/pre-school should look like. Furthermore, the atmosphere just wasnt friendly, the receptionist didnt even say hello to me when I walked in the door and continued to be ignorant of me (it was like getting blood out of stone to get her to help me) and the assitants/teachers I saw, just didnt look like the friendly, kind people I would want looking after my daughter, they looked like they didnt want to be there, and were only there, because they couldnt get a job anywhere else. With all my experience and knowledge, I would run this daycare very differently and they had the opportunity of having my expertise here for $9 an hour instead of the usual $30 I can earn tutoring/teaching, but the 'Assistant Director', Miss Jana, flatly refused to give me a reduction on the fees. The amount of extra revenue I could have generated from making this place exceptional, would have outweighed the tutition fee they wanted from me."
