"The hostess was unnecessarily rude in her demeanor and tone of voice to us and several other customers that came in. There were at least a dozen tables open, but the lobby was full with a 20+ minute wait to be seated. They could have at least sat people and offered them drinks while waiting for the server. We've been to the Peoria location several times, and at that location they have always been nice and offered great service. I guess the staff was overwhelmed by the rush on Valentine's day. It shouldn't be surprise for management that they may want to fully staff the restaurant on a holiday where droves of people go out to eat."
"My first time eating at this location, and immediately I enjoyed the atmosphere. The hostess as well as my server were very friendly. I ordered a double cheeseburger and it's delicious too! It's fairly busy but the server is on top of keeping their taken care of. I very much enjoyed my experience today."
"Can depend on regular good ‘every-day food.’ We choose our favorite foods from their menu. They work with you to make you happy. John the owner works consistently to keep place clean and a good environment for an everyday restaurant type of eating. The best of ‘old school’ serves something for everybody. Would ask they cook their pie crust a bit longer though."
"The table/seats were messy with crumbs and there was gunk in between the booth seat and where you put your back. We HATE that restaurants never have pride in the cleanliness of the seating area. It's unappetizing for us. So, we cleaned it ourselves like we normally have to. (Unfortunately we can't do much about the floor) Food was great tho! Bacon was cooked perfectly! Waitress was friendly and helpful. It was free pie Wednesday and we all got to bring home a free slice (of fruit pie) so we are looking forward to sharing our dessert later!"
"Clean place, nice set up and happy workers. If you need a place for breakfast to start your day this is it. If you are craving a good food and a good service, you will be satisfied. I went there for the first time, and I will go back. Yes the food was that good. I’m not a coffee guy but even their decaf coffee taste excellent. Be nice to the waitresses"
